After traveling all day, we arrived tired and hungry -- ready for a great meal of fresh food. Our server greeted us promptly and seemed well versed with the menu and specials. Drinks and dinner rolls were served without delay -- after that we played a waiting game. I ordered fresh fish (manchong), while my husband had the Shrimp Pad Thai. As an appetizer, he ordered Portuguese Bean Soup, which sounded delicious.
30 minutes later, we had not received any of our food, (including the soup). When it eventually came, it was served hot, (so apparently had not been languishing in the kitchen). The food was delivered by assistive wait staff - (not our waiter). The soup never came. We were not asked if we needed anything else, or if all was to our liking. My husband wanted soy sauce and after several minutes, flagged down a waiter (not ours) to ask for it. (He immediately complied.) Although our water was refreshed, we were never asked if we desired second drinks (which we would have ordered,)
The good news was that the food was delicious. The fish portion was generous, simply prepared and very fresh. It was served with rice and a variety of fresh vegetables -- cooked only slightly so that they retained their crunch. The Pad Thai shrimp was also fresh and very tasty. Prices were not exorbitant, in light of the quality of the food.
