“Gracious service and ono grinds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

We had breakfast at this local eatery, unchanged for many years. Known for their pancakes, they did not disappoint. I had the banana pancakes which were fluffy, light and satisfying. My daughter had the loco moco- also excellent and filling. Although packed to capacity, the service is efficient and lines move quickly. As soon as you are seated, a waitress arrives with a cart filled with ice water, coffee, utensils, service with a smile. Prices still reflect those of yesteryear-

“Get the pancakes!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013 via mobile

This is an out-of-the-way sort of local restaurant. It definitely isn't fancy. It was very clean, and the waitstaff was very courteous and efficient. We were only there for breakfast and most of the breakfast items are pretty standard. The pancakes are the real attraction here. We order one plain and another with macadamia nuts and bananas. Both were delicious, we didn't even put syrup on them (a little butter and guava jam doesn't hurt though)! We really enjoyed our breakfast, and will be back before this vacation is over!

“Eat like a local.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

We actually ate here three times for breakfast. The first time was a Saturday morning and it was packed. The line moves fast. I got the macadamia banana pancakes twice. Finally tried the locals specialty - Loco Moco. 2 eggs on a hamburger patty served over rice with gravy. Not for every day but delicious!

“Great breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2013

Reminded me of a local Waffle House. Great food and service. Eat where the locals do and come to this place for breakfast. You won't be disappointed in the food.

“Tip Top Cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013 via mobile

They have the best pancakes anywhere. Older ladies wait on you and are very nice. Get the guava jam to put on the pancakes. A lot of the locals eat there and it has always been busy when we were there.
