“Outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2008

My wife and I have been going to kauai for the last 10 yrs. We've eaten in a lot of restaurants, but none as excellent as DUKE'S . Both the service and food are outstanding and to make an outstanding dining experience excellent finish it off with

"HULA PIE"

Can't wait for april

“Just OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2007

Dukes was one of two restaurants touted as "very good". The other was Tidepools, which we rated as excellent, a definate 5.0! Unfortunately, Dukes was not nearly as good. Starting with drinks, my "lava flow" was much to sweet, and lacked any rum taste. My wife's Cosmopolitan was OK, but nothing special, (and we ordered it with Grey Goose). We had to wait a bit to long for our waiter to take out order. He suggested a fish I never heard of, prepared macademia nut crusted. The fish was a bit like moonfish and was fine, but certainly not outstanding. It was served with their rice pilaf, which was not very good. Each entree comes with their "free" salad bar. Again, the salad bar was OK, but not outstanding. In short you can do better on the island then Dukes.

“Great place to dine!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2007

Duke's has great ambience. We had a terrific waiter who was able to advise us on the best possible preparations for the fresh fish that was available. A trio sang us a Hawaiian song. The food was exceptionally good.

“Loved it. Great Seafood!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2007

The service isn't always top notch, but the seafood at Dukes is some of the best you can find anywhere. We went back more than once while were in Kauai. The ono and the tilapia entrees were both great! It's right on the beach – a perfect Hawaii experience.
