“Good food, tough parking, disinterested service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2013

First the parking - there was none. The "Pig" is in a small shopping center with a smaller parking lot. We eventually found a space in a distant lot. The food was good. My sons loved the signature burger and my pork platter was done well. While our server met the basic needs, she was definitely more interested in other tables with local patrons, whom she obviously knew. This is not uncommon in many semi-local eateries that are located near sesorts. Some treat you like guests, others treat you like tourists. This was more of the latter. You can walk here if you are staying at the Marriott Beach Club, which is a plus. Overall, not a bad place for a meal.

“We could have done without the visit here”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

We were staying over at the Marriott and frankly should have just eaten there that night, but I had read good reviews about the pig. It was not crowded, but the waitress communicated the wrong entree to the kitchen, so I had to wait to have the right entree brought to me. Good sized portions that were cooked just right. I don't understand why both fries AND mashed potatoes are included, but there you go.

“Steer clear of this pig.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013

Waitress didn't really seem interested in serving us. The blackened fish in the fish tacos so spicy so no flavor of fish. My husband's burger was like shoe leather and when we mentioned this to waitress she shrugged her shoulders and walked away.

“Not impressed at all.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2013

They had a "Special Drink" listed outside the restaurant/bar on their Big Billboard. Some type of Cider drink. Anyhow, the waitress had no clue and said she would have to wait for the manager to return to see what it was. I waited 15 minutes for that drink and it was just ok. Then we both had the Pig sandwich. What a joke. It had a lot and I mean a lot of unfired "bacon" on it. Was sickening. We took that off and ate the rest of the sandwich, which was nothing to speak of. Save your money, folks.

“Perfect last minute find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

Initially a bit loud, but we moved away from speakers and much better. Waitress efficient and kind. Kids had the Feral Burger, much talked about here online...and the waitress noted as well, and we're quite happy. Fish tacos grilled and good - better than expected. Lots of beer choices and decent wine. Like that we walked from the kauai beach club...quite easy and close.
