The blowhole isn't really all that exciting, but maybe that was because I've seen many others and I could actually walk up to them. But, it's worth stopping off. What makes it worthwhile is that it is an excellent spot from which to spot whales during whale season. We spotted four! That made it all worthwhile.

It was ok. Easy to get to from Poipu. A good thing to do on my first day or make a side trip to. But wouldn't spend all day trying to get here.

This is worth a quick stop if you are in the Poipu Beach area. We took some great shots of the shore and the Spouting Horn in action. Also observed a pair of monk seals frolicking in the water beside the Spouting Horn.

I have been to Kauai many times, and we always make a stop at Spouting Horn. The actual spout is worth a look, but not worth a trip if you are not in the area. But, there are tents set up by the parking lot that are possibly some of the best deals on the island. You can buy anything from touristy shot glasses, to things hand crafted out of shell, to authentic gold jewerly. It really is worth the stop for the shopping deals. And usually you can even speak to the people who have made the crafts.
