“Stunning!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013 via mobile

A very peaceful and beautiful wildlife sanctuary. We were there on 12/20 and after patiently waiting, watched a whale play in the ocean for 10 minutes. The binoculars are free to check it, the guide are very friendly and helpful. A must see in Kaui.

“Plan to spend an hour +.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

A great place for views. The waves were 10 to 15 ft that day, and it was awesome to watch them crash into the cliffs. There is a little museum there and some interpretive signs, but be sure to take the time to learn from them all. If you don't have binoculars to zoom-in on the sights, you can check out a pair to use. Be sure to BRING YOUR $80 MULTI-AGENCY PASS with you to Kaua'i as you can use it here and safe $5 per person. We left ours at home.

“Great Picture Opportunity”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

The Kilauea Lighthouse is located at the northernmost tip of Kauai. From here you have a gorgeous view of the northern coastline meeting the blue water of the Pacific which makes for a great photo opportunity. The Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge is a sanctuary for seabirds and you will get up close and personal with them as they fly above. Friends have told me that if you go during the winter months it is a great location to see whales. The Wildlife Sanctuary costs $5 to drive your car in.

“Historical Lighthouse with Excellent Coastal Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

Great place to visit for a some great views, bird watching and history. The views of the coast and the less dramatic back side of the Na Pali cliffs are beautiful from this location. There are birds up close and in the distance, like the Red Footed Booby. If you like historical structures - the 1913 restored lighthouse is very interesting with its huge lens (since replaced by a more modern beacon). Just a beautiful location offering different things for different folks.

“Killer Views of Flying and Nesting Seabirds and Whales”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

This is a great scenic resource for visiotrs to Kauai. Lot and lots of seabirds of many types. Whales spout and play just offshore during roughly December to April. You'll love it.
