“The Right Choice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2010

I don't even know exactly how my then fiancee/ now wife decided on Kauai, or specifically how she found this wonderful B&B, but both were the right choices.

The hosts (Patrick & Jules) are real professionals, and extremely personable. We loved our room. We LOVED the breakfasts. We loved their sweet dogs. And we were lucky enough to meet some extended family....including Uncle Sonny! Listen to their suggestions on their favorite spots -- very complimentary to what you will read in the guidebooks, but with valuable, local, honest perspective.

I highly recommend, and if we do return to Kauai, we will stay on the the west side again, and we will stay here.

Many thanks to Jules/Patrick/Joan/ and Colonel Mike:)

Daniel - the horrible body surfer.......

“Your home away from home is with Jules and Patrick at Hale Puka Ana”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2010

We learned about Hale Puka Ana from reading peoples' reviews on Trip Advisor. I have to admit, everyone was raving about how great the proprietors of this B&B were and I thought, you've got to be kidding, noone is that amazing. But they were right. Jules and Patrick have the gift of hospitality and our vacation to Kauai was wonderful mostly because of them. They catered to our every whim, gave us excellent advice on the best times and places to eat out and take excursions, and the breakfasts - plan to eat a lot and enjoy great food.
Then of course, Kekaha is the sunniest part of the island. We would drive to other parts and it would be pouring, and we would head back to Kekaha to find the sun. Also the beaches weren't crowded and there are miles of white sand just across the street from the B&B.

Hale Puka 'Ana is as nice as it looks on the website and owned by a lovely couple that are talented inn keepers and gracious hosts. The inn is a one hour leisurely drive from the airport to a nice little town with a great white sand beach right across the street. In the mornig we watched whales from the 2nd floor linai while eating a hearty and healthy breakfast. In the evenings the same linai provided gorgeous sunsets. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and nicely appointed. The garden/backyard and outdoor sitting area provide plenty of room to stretch out, barbecue and watch the birds feed. There are several good dining choices to eat out and grocery stores if you choose to eat in. Jules and Patrick provide a steady stream of advice on what to do and whom to hire - all their suggestions were spot on. The inn is a good value considering the location, quality of the accomdations and the hospitality of the owners. I would highly reccomend Hale Puka 'Ana and would go again. “Incredible hosts, view, setting and amenities...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2010

If you're looking for a peaceful, beautiful, clean, friendly place to stay with amazing views of the Hawaiian sun setting into a pristine ocean as whales spout and breach in the distance, this is it! Recently redone room with gorgeous, spacious two head shower, private lanai with ocean view, "tiki" bbq set up in an enclosed park like yard. Wonderful service, delicious and beautifully prepared breakfasts. Weimea Canyon and NaPali coast minutes away.

“Perfect Location for Perfect Relaxation Vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2010

Great place to unwind. Prime location for beach and canyon access. Hosts Patrick and Jules were incredible with offering suggestions and for making sure vacation was perfect! Breakfasts were wonderful with Jules daily gourmet creation - fresh fruit selection - cereals - yogurt - breads/pastries - yum yum yum. Beaches access is fabulous if you love to be only one out on the beach. Tiki hut is perfect for cooking up your own meal near the beach / watch the sunset - see the whales - turtles. Rooms very clean. Quiet house. Dogs are super sweet and very well behaved. Will stay here again when we return to Kauai. Hosts really made the trip memorable with small acts of kindness. We stayed at a handful of B&B's and not always our style but this place was definetely incredible and if you are looking at the website or considering this place - I am certain you will not be disappointed by room / location / access / food / fun / everything! Mahalo and Aloha!
