Staying at the Fern Gortto Inn, was so comfortable and it truly felt like a home away form home. The location was wonderful right across the street from the beach and Lydgate Park. It was a great central location. The grounds are absolutly beautiful, it is truly a tropical paradise. I also enjoyed having the kitchen ammenities and the washer and dryer. Our only dirty laundry coming home was the clothes we were wearing, I was able to wash and dry everything else so when I unpacked it was ready for wear again. Paul was very nice and accomidating to any need we may have had. They also have boogie boards, coolers. beach mats and toys on site do you don't have to waste time or money buying those things. All you need is a swim suit, sunscreen and you are ready to go as soon as you get there. It was great!!! I would go again at the first oppurtunity. Brandy, Burlington, NC

Very nice place to stay for your holidays. Very well situated in the middle of almost all important sightseeing places. I really admired nice garden around the cottage. Children friendly.

My family of three was part of a large group celebrating a good friend's birthday. The accommodations and grounds were beautiful and well maintained, and Paul took care of our needs kindly and efficiently.

We were with our five year old grandson, who loved the gentle and warm attention he received from the owner/manager family. Beach toys, mats, etc. were easily available. Laundry facilities could not have been more convenient.

The beach was, indeed, close by, but across a heavily traveled street. The best beach for children and a wonderful playground were a five minute drive from the house and cottage.

The Fern Grotto Inn is a small group of cottages that sits by the state park by the Wailua River. Beautiful setting among the trees and flowers. The hosts were very accomodating giving us everything we needed for our comfort. We stayed in the River Cottage that has a view of the river. It was one block to where we rented kayaks and paddled the river. A walk to the beach, a short drive to Coconut Marketplace. Very nice! It is not a Sheraton but for the price if you are looking for comfort, privacy, and a peaceful setting this is the place to go. We'll be there again!
