We were in Kauai for 10 days. The first 5 were spent in a hotel room so we felt a huge relief when we walked into A-304. We had the comforts of home while continuing our honeymoon. The condo faced the ocean. The view was beautiful but unfortunately the beach was quite unswimmable,,,at least safely. Like others, we stayed here so we could be at a balanced location on the island to venture off if we wanted to. The majority of the east side beaches were unattractive to us so we drove to the north shore beaches which were to die for beautiful. The drive in itself was enjoyable for the island scenery so we did not mind. We planned on seeing other island areas anyway. We used the grill every night and did not have an issue getting one (we only located 2 and apparently there are four?,,,not sure about that). We grilled late in the evening. We did not hang out at the pool. Too many kids/teenagers and we were on our honeymoon. We did not use the hot tubs...they appeared to be quite maxed out....with kids. We did not eat at oasis...but I did hear it being recommended quite often while we were out.
The condo had all your basic amenities for cooking/cleaning/laundry/bathing/beach fun etc. I am quite picky when it comes to hotels/condos and I was pleased. We had no access to the front desk for services and there was no housekeeping since this condo was privately owned (we knew this ahead of time already and we were totally cool with it). We were quite acclimated to the island by the time we got to waipouli being that we spent five days on the island already. Kauai is very easy to get around. The condo was very close to the airport and most of the activities we did (luau, zipline, kayak). We ate at Wahooo down the street. Great seafood....very pricey. Lots of shopping nearby. We would probably stay here again for the value and location of this place. P.s. The bed was super comfy!!
