“Great for breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

Our Kapaa hotel package did not include breakfast. We saw an ad for this place and ended up going for breakfast on 3 of our 4 days in Kapaa. Excellent omelets. Especially enjoyed the luau omelet, but it was a lot. Pancakes (1 is enough) are plate-sized and filling. Excellent coffee. Great service and reasonable prices for Hawaii.

“Great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

We ate most morning meals in our condo but did venture out for one breakfast and chose Kountry Kitchen. It was so good. It's definitely a place that locals frequent which we knew was a good sign!! I had half an order of eggs benedict with crab meat - so yummy!! My son had a coconut pancake which tasted amazing! My husband had a breakfast with eggs and pancakes and he said it was all so good. We will go back the next time we are in HI!

“Over Rated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

Read reviews & made it a point to go. Got there @ just before 9 from Poipu. Was told 1/2 hr. wait. Well we waited over an hour! Noticed decals on the doors & windows that began with: "Best" "Winner of 2012..." The hostess was really personable - ok so far so good.

I like my bacon soft - not crispy & ordered as such w/ server raising an eyebrow. My bacon came crispy - server never came back to ask how it was. (If I returned the bacon I'd probably have to wait another 20 minutes.) Scrambled eggs were brown & overcooked.

Corned beef looked & tasted like canned." Server said corn bread is really good - it wasn't. Never knew anyone could ruin breakfast! Really not worth the wait or the price.

Hostess & 2 people bussing & serving drinks - they were the only ones coming around. Only 2 servers. Maybe a "taste" in "serving" may help.

Our last day's vacation was not the nice finale one would want. We wasted 2 hours & got caught in bumper-to-bumper traffic trying to head back to check out of our hotel! From Kapaa to Wailua only - took us 45 minutes & then another 25 minutes to Poipu! This really made the whole breakfast experience worse.

“Disappointed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

After all the great reviews, we were really excited to make a drive here on our way up to the St Regis. We were sadly disappointed. The pancakes which I read so much about were average at best -- really dry, slightly overcooked and the banana I got in there almost seemed fake. The tropical fruit salad was good though. My friend's omelet was basically a few eggs topped with what appeared to be a slice of yellow Kraft cheese. Gross! We won't be back and don't understand all the great reviews of this spot.

“Yum yum breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

Went here for breakfast. Just a short wait. Definitely a local's spot. Had the best chocolate chip and macadamia nut pancake. It was huge!! Brought half of it home. A little pricey for breakfast but HUGE portions!!
