I cannot believe no one else has entered this into TripAdvisor yet! It was nearly a year ago when we were in Kauai, so my memory of the specifics is a bit lacking.

Cafe Coco is one of the few places we went to more than once. Their food is clean, fresh, original, and flavorful. Fun fish and vegetarian options. I (twice) ordered a blackened tofu entree that had a wonderful creamy dill sauce drizzled over the it. It's the best I ever had, as were the amazing samosas.

It's very casual, with plastic chairs for outside (which is covered, for the almost inevitable rain) dining. There is seating inside, in various rooms, as the restaurant is an old converted house. Friendly staff.

On one night, entertainment was a solo acoustic performance by a woman, whose body of work was very Chapin Carpenter/Colvin/Mann. Another night was a team of bellydancers. Eclectic to say the least!

Cafe Coco is a bit hard to find. It is located on the mauka side of the highway, across and south from the Coconut Marketplace, and behind another business. If you look hard for it, you will surely be rewarded with food that has created one of our fondest memories of the island. Enjoy!
