My husband and I visited Kauai for a week in December 2003 and ate at Caffe Coco no less than 4 times. No matter where we were on the island, we would drive back to Kapaa just to eat at CC.
My husband sampled and loved many of their fresh fish wraps and platters, while I (the vegetarian) became absolutely addicted to the Tofu Nori Wrap (it's the ahi wrap w/tofu substituted). I don't know how they prepare their tofu, but it tastes just like fish (which may or may not sound appealing to vegetarians/vegans, but it suits my palate). I have a feeling they marinade it with seaweed to give it that fresh-from-the-sea taste. There's a little kick from lime juice in there, too, with just the right amount of spicy white sauce (I believe it's mayo-based).
Their veggie samosas and tofu potstickers are also delicious. I'd go back to Kauai just for their food, no kidding. They're on the Web. Look it up if you want to see their menu. I just did and now I'm REALLY craving it! LOL
