“Informative, Peaceful, and all the delicious samples you want!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

The Kauai Coffee Company is just a bit out of the way but well worth the time. You can take a walking tour with signs explaining all about the plantation. You can watch a video that shows all the various stages of coffee production. And of course, you can sample all the delicious coffee you like. No pressure to buy anything, but it's hard not to! Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here.

“Coffee Plantation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

For a good first hand observation of the process of developing, growing and processing the excellent Kauai coffee, which by the way competes with the Kona Coffee from the Big Island. Outstanding selection of the different coffee roasts and varieties that you can sample, and also purchase. A must stop for the Starbucks fan, so you can taste real Hawaiian coffee.

“Great way to break a long trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

The Kauai coffee company is a few miles to the west of Poipu and in a great spot to break up the trip from one side of Kauai to the other. Takes 15 minutes if all you want is free coffee, or you could kill an hour if you walk around the 1/8 mile interpretive path, which is pretty well done and informative. No shade on the path though if it's a hot day. There's a small snack place as well as a gift shop. It's great to be able to support a local business!

“Great coffee stop!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

On our way back to from a boat tour we saw a sign off the highway and pulled in. This was a perfect stop to regroup and get some coffee. The property is divided up into three parts, the gift shop, the coffee shop and the grounds.

The gift shop was kinda cool and you can buy some unique items here including vintage coffee sacks. The shop also has T-shirts, mugs and much of the expected swag.

The coffee shop was fantastic with outdoor seating, a video going about the property and great tasting coffee. Clean bathrooms and friendly service stood out.

The grounds were made up of several pathways with signs intended for a self guided tour. Most of what is left here in not used I dont think. It seems the operation has grown and a lot of the actual work is done elsewhere. Even so, its a great insight into the humble beginnings of the company and worth a short stroll to take it all in.

Overall the place was clean, well organized and a welcome stop along the way. We will for sure return to this place in future. This is probably more of a quick stop to look around and wander for a bit rather than a destination. I wouldn't miss it if you like coffee though.
