We have spontanious booked this B&B and we absolutely loved it! It is a litte up the mountain in the rainforest, so not close to the beach, which didn't matter for us, especially not since the room was less then 100 $. The welcoming and openminded manner of Tracy and Ben, was breathtaking, and the breakfast was delicous.
We will absolutely come back, if we ever get the chance!

My (now) hubby and I had never been to Kauai nor stayed at a B&B. So this was a wonderful start...once we found the place. The drive from the airport ended up being a bit long due to rush hour and the two lane highway being under construction. Add to that some rain to further prolong everything. Once we found Kua Rd. it was a matter of finding the house. Traci does give accurate directions. But the house is located much further up than we expected.

We arrived late afternoon and were greeted with a note on our door. The room was clean. There were plenty of clean towels and space to either hang our clothing or place into drawers. Windows lined two of the walls which helped keep a breeze going through the room. So use of the ceiling fan wasn't necessary. The bed was comfy and clean. The house sits up on a hill so the views were awesome, especially of the all the lush foliage surrounding the home. Not just that, the sounds of the wildlife at night was cool. Besides the crickets (or maybe they were weird frogs) and the occasional moo's or neigh's from nearby cows or horses, you hear the birds...including the ubiquitous roosters. I found it all relaxing compared to the roadside sounds from home. The hubby is a light sleeper, but he tolerated it.

Breakfast was ready exactly at 8am. The two bf's we had while there were excellent and "healthy". Homemade banana pancakes the first morning; egg sandwiches the following morning. Both mornings with tall helpings of yummy fresh fruits. We conversed with another couple who was staying there and with Traci who was very helpful answering questions and recommending local tourist spots/beaches.

My hubby and I were very happy with our stay. We definitely would recommend this place to others.

We stayed there for 6 days and we really enjoyed it! Traci and Ben are very friendly and welcoming hosts! Breakfasts were delicious with lots of fresh tropical fruits. Moreover, during the breakfast conversations Traci and Ben provided us with a lot of useful information about the island. House is located on a hill and the view was spectacular! Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Beach towels were provided. They had lots of Kauai guidebooks available in the room. It was wonderfully quiet environment - we only heard the birds singing! We are very thankful to Traci and Ben for such a wonderful time and we are already thinking bringing our kids and parents to Kauai and staying at Strawberry Guava! We are looking forward to be back!

EXACTLY what we were looking for and more! Traci and Ben were gracious hosts and we enjoyed chatting with them and getting their opinions on things to do on this beautiful island! The breakfasts were delicious and I really appreciated how they went above and beyond and attended to my dietary nuisances! The room was clean and cute and the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed listening to the rain in the evenings - it was so peaceful.... thank you once again Traci and Ben for this wonderful experience!
