“Tapas is Princeville, Hawaii”

Fantastic restaurant, the view is phenomenal over seeing the mountains. Great wine selection, the lamp chops are a favorite. The bartenders are knowledgeable about wines.

“Coolest restaurant on Kauai”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Great, interesting food, stellar atmosphere, excellent service. Unique on Kauai. This restaurant is many local's "go to" for a special meal. It's the only restaurant, maybe other than The Tavern, that has a bit of a "city" feel to it - even though Hanalei is clearly a very little town. Fun, upbeat and professional staff and love, love, love the food.

“Too Pricey, Bit Down Hill”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014

We ate here four years ago and loved it. Tonight not so much, it felt way way over priced ($6 for lemonade) and not as flavorful as I remember or as the tapas we had in Koloa.

“Over rated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2014

The food was ok, but the whole atmosphere of the place is rushed and noisy...not a relaxing meal and also did I mention overpriced?

“Tapas in Hanalei”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2014

This is a marvelous Tapas restaurant and the perfect spot for dinner especially the first evening in Paradise! Glowing Tiki torches surrounding a lovely, dining veranda greet you just outside the interior of the main restaurant. It's the 2nd vacation (in 2 yrs) we've enjoyed the "small plates" venue and the quality of food & recipes is still wonderful.
Definitely begin with the Honeycomb & Humboldt Fog Cheese, but be prepared to get 2 if there are 4 of you! Shaved Zuchini or the Beets are marvelous salad starters; Pizzetta's an easy, light, little pizza with cheese, onions, bacon & red peppers but our favorite's are the Seared Scallop and the Roasted Pork Shoulder on Bed of Polenta w/Apple Cider drizzle. Sorry to say, the Shrimp Romesco was not great; the sauce overwhelmed the overcooked shrimp.
Definitely save room for Desserts: refreshing Mango Granita & divine Chocolate Pot de Creme!
NOTE: Make an RSVP!
