“Great Food & Live Music”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

We went to Kalypso while visiting Kauai on our honeymoon and it was great! The food was delicious and they had live music the night we went which was super fun. They have a very large menu and do a full breakfast as well if you are looking to eat out from the hotel in the mornings. Definitely recommend!

“Fair to good food, lousy wine, poor service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

Four were in our party and we arrived for dinner. One of our party ordered water with lemon because they don't offer any unsweetened tea or beverage. The others ordered a bottle of red wine and beer, and we ordered an appetizer. The red wine came chilled, really chilled! The beer came. Obviously, someone here doesn't know you don't chill red wine. It took the waitress a while longer to bring a glass of water--we had to ask twice. We also asked for water for the table and when she finally brought it she spilled half of a glass on the table. We used our napkins to lap it up. About 3 minutes later she brought some extra napkins and threw them on the table. About 25 minutes later she brought our entrees. She totally forgot the appetizer. To her credit she admitted forgetting to put the order in... The seafood and linguine was excellent. The coconut shrimp were OK. The fish taco was decent, but the black beans and rice were tasteless. So ours was a very mixed experience and we can't give a hearty recommendation.

“Got to go to Kalypso!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012 via mobile

Large and diverse menu & you get plenty to eat (you can split many items and go away full). Lively, relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced. Don't miss Aloha Friday--live music and folks are there to party.

“Great eats in a little hippie town!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

Viewed this place on TV which raved about its food and I found this to be true! I totally loved their fish tacos as mine used AHI (the fish of the day)!! So many dishes came out of the kitchen that looked totally yummy! Kinda like a sports bar with tv's and open air seating!
