“Best Mai Tai's Ever”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2014

Hands down the best Mai Tai I've ever had. That being said, don't expect the "Aloha Spirit" to shine through here. I smiled at ever worker and tried to be nice but got nothing back in return. Don't expect fast service either. We sat at the bar for about 10 minutes before the bartender decided to walk over...and we were two of five people sitting in the whole place! So great drinks, BAD vibe but worth the visit. Just be prepared.

“RELAX”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

Popped in to this place a couple of times, of course, most folks link it to the George Clooney film Descendants, we just went in because it looks great. Nice live Hawaiin singing most nights, did not eat there, but drank plenty! As always in Hawaii, bar staff really laid back, we Brits are not used to waiting too long for our beer eh? But great atmosphere, our ladies loved it. Hanalei is beautiful, so you must be a right misery if you do not like it here! lol.

“Fun and memorable evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

We enjoyed the food and also the entertainment. It was lively and it was packed. The service was very good considering how busy they were. Great time!

“Good as ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

The Tahiti Nui Bar is a good as ever. We have been coming here for 40 years. The original owner has passed away but her legion lives. You are always going to find a warm welcome and meet interesting people here; some from very far away places. It is remarkable that the family is able to continue to capture the feel of Hawaii.

While we ate lucch, there came a light rain shower and made for a very tropical event. You could see the waterfalls in the distant mountains began to flow. The rain on the tin roof made a familiar sound. Just wonderful. The food was ever better than we remembered. Very high quality, very Hawaiian! The drinks are just a plentiful.....

When you visit Hanalei you must stop here. cannot miss it---it's on the right-hand side of the road driving into Hanalei

“Aloha Oyeee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2014

Love Kauai and it's jungle freedom. Rented motor scooter and found this cute little cafe in a place called Hanalei (north side of the island). Been there for years (since 1963) and you'll see why. Comfortable, friendly and good food--even luaus.
