“Great Snorkel Day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2014

Even an experienced diver/snorkeler like myself (30+ years - 700 dives) benefitted from Craig's presentation and being there to point out critters during the wet portion of the morning. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to some more snorkeling around the island.

“Great experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2014

All of our family had an awesome time. What a great learning experience as well. Craig was our instructor and was phenomenal. Snorkel gear was great and we kept it for our entire weeks vacation. We saw many beautiful fish. These guys are great and well worth your money and time!

“Best Snorkeling Adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2014

Wow! Guide was a Marine Biologist with a Masters degree. He provided an hour long slide show explaining the reef and fish we would see. Then, he fitted each member of our group with top quality snorkeling equipment and showed us how to use it. In the water, he guided us to the best parts of the reef where we encountered countless marine life. The guide had scuba gear and he took many underwater pics of us and the marine life. At the conclusion, he debriefed us and we did a fish count. Finally, he provided us with a CD containing all the pics he took. We give this operation our highest recommendation!

“Top Notch Snorkel outfit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2014

Wetsuits for the kids, dry snorkels, lunch, and outstanding teaching makes this a great excursion in Kauai. I will recommend to anyone visiting. Down to earth, knowledgeable instructors, great venue, laid back and relaxed atmosphere. Saw many fish and a turtle. Excellent.

“Exceeded Expectations.... by a long shot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2014

As guests at Wyndham Bali Hai Villas, we attended a short presentation of tour vendors on Kauai. Being experienced travelers we were somewhat skeptical of any resort presentations but were impressed by the presentation by Steve of Malama Ke Kai Reef Guides. We signed up for equipment rental for a week plus an initial snorkeling outing. Craig, our guide and former marine biologist, met us at a South shore location and provided our group of 12 with an incredibly informative 45 minute slide presentation on the coral and fish that we would see that morning. We were introduced to his assistant and were outfitted with top of the line equipment. Great attention was given to each swimmer by the Reef Guides team to insure that each was comfortable with equipment and the Guides knew the ability of each guest. Once in the water, we were always under observation but had freedom to explore at our own pace. After an hour in the water were were treated to lunch, and then a slide presentation of photos taken during our dive and a review of the fish and coral seen. We highly recommend Reef Guides when you're in Kauai.Don't just settle for rentals and finding your way to the sea, take this opportunity to truly learn the sea life of the area.
