“Mixed Results”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

The coconut pie here was delightfully scrumptious. The food, unfortunately, was underwhelming (the chili pepper chicken was tough and dry). And the service was apathetic.

“Right out of the oven”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

The banana bread right out of the oven was so delicious - had to eat it warm in the car. Went back the next day for an apple turnover - would have loved to try this warm out of the oven too. A great lower-cost alternative for yummy comfort food in Hanalei.

“Locals place for plate lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013 via mobile

We were in Hanalei and about shopped out. Luckily it was lunch time and I started checking out the diners. There was a lot of construction in the curio centers so we followed the workmen as they headed toward lunch. Quite a few headed to the Snack Shop. There were tables outside and I asked where they had got their plate lunches. They pointed to the Snack Shop. We got the chili pepper chicken with brown rice, salad and a drink for $10 each. Numba One lunch!

“Decent for a quick breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

Stopped here before a hike up the Kalalau for breakfast. Food was okay, akin to what you might get at a small diner. They have all the basics, so certainly feel free to fuel up here before a day on the trail.

“Looking for those Macadamia Pancakes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

I have heard and read about Macadamia Nut Pancakes with coconut syrup but they are hard to come by on the North Shore. This place hand the, but not the coconut syrup. I am still in search for those, this is a very casual place, inexpensive, and fast. You order from the counter and can eat outside or in.
