This is the best palce I have stayed on any island.
The rooms are huge( 1000 sq) and private, the grounds super secure and gaited. I got a 1 bed ground floor and found I got a private garden/ yard.
You are in the midst of the best resort, across the street from the Hilton for 1/2 the price....
Has golf in the property eith putting green. Beach a short walk... feels like a country club and no wild types...... Saved 100 per night and spent far less than other condos

Just got back from a very relaxing stay at The Shores at Waikoloa. The interiors are somewhat dated looking, but overall is very comfortable.
Our 1 bedroom/ 1 1/2 bath unit had a full kitchen with plates, glassware & cutlery for 4, microwave, full refrigerator, stove/oven, blender, toaster, coffeemaker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, plus coffee starter kit, dishwashing soap, pots, pans, cutting boards etc. Large living room had sofa sleeper, 2 chairs plus coffee table, 2 corner tables w/lamps and large TV. Dining alcove had round table & 4 chairs.
Large wrapround lanai had 4 chairs but was missing a table...no problem, used one of the lamp tables from inside. Bedroom had 2 double beds and a smaller TV. Bathroom had double sink and large soaking tub & shower. All over there was lots of storage space with shelves & drawers. Also, lots of mirrors made the unit seem even larger. The carpet was a little threadbare in some places. Nice landscaping throughout gardens and lots of flowers and ponds. Pool area is decent--not fancy--curved swimming pool, also has a jacuzzi. The pool is open 8am-9pm. The concierge desk is next to the pool and so are the soda and snack vending machines. BBQ grills are also available just outside the pool area. There are 2 tennis courts, and the guest registration desk has rackets and balls. There is free covered parking and free local calls. There is no restaurant here, but The Beach Grill restaurant is just outside the gate. (Not even a 5 minute walk away.) It's a short drive to The Hilton Waikoloa, The Marriott Waikoloa Resort and The King Shops. Overall a great place to spread out and relax while remaining in a very upscale resort area. All the employees are also very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

THis is definitely a great place to relax in when you visit the big island. THe accomadations are great with huge rooms, clean service, friendly staff, nice location on the golf course, and convience of kitchens. It is the best place for families on a budget to enjoy large rooms and a kitchen where you can cook and save on your food budget. It is located only 15 min away from the airport and downtown Kona area and is also situated within Kailua-Kona village where there is King's Village where there are different types of shops and restaurants, and other hotels are situated in the same area where you can explore different hotels. And the village also has its own beach area which is very convient and there is no need for a car because it is easy walking distance within the village area. This condo is definately great for families or big groups of people. The price is right for its amenities, location, and cleanliness. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! (travel was in Jan 2004)
