“Terrific Dining Overlooking the Pacific”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

Wonderful Hawaiian architecture overlooking the ocean with soft breezes affords a wonderful dining experience. Highly suggest any of the fish appetizers or specials. Steaks are just OK.

“Great but pricey (but the location and view makes up for it!)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

A return visitor to the Hilton Waikoloa Resort and KPC is on my regular rotation while there. The oceanside location and sunset views can't be beat! Outside seating is a first-come-first served even with reservation UNLESS you pay an Ali'i premium (KING's ransom - pun intended) to guarantee an outside seating for sunset. If you have a later reservation (after the sunset crowd) you are almost sure to get an outside table which is preferred in this beautiful weather year round! Its not really a fine dining restaurant. I consider KPC an upscale casual restaurant but you're paying captive resort pricing but the location and views make it worthwhile... Overall experience is still good as usual compared to past visits but the price seem to be higher this time around?! And the service a bit more efficient (almost too rushed for vacation time?) Ordered the lemongrass poached shrimp cocktail appertizer and was disappointed as it was just regular shrimp cocktail. There is NO trace of lemongrass at all! :-( fortunately the main course that I ordered - their specialty dish - the ginger steamed Monchong Fish in a sweet soy kabayaki sauce, drizzled with hot peanut oil over sushi rice... was superb!!!! Unlike other mention here, mine was cooked perfectly. The award winning Chocolate Crunch torte dessert was also yummy if you are a chocolate fan!

“AMAZING view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Go with your special someone and request a patio/cliff's edge table. Arrive by 5:15 for the full sunset experience. It's worth every penny of the price tag.

We went on our last night in Hawaii. Took our two sons (ages 5 and 7). We sat on the patio. They have a good kid's menu, offering everything from chicken tenders to grilled fish to a petit filet.

My husband & I both had fresh fish selections. They were delicious.

Our waiter was okay, but nothing spectacular.

“Surprisingly Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

Excellent dinner venue in terms of location - beachfront - and food . Great wine list with hidden value gems such as Apothetic (89pts I think ) for under $40.

Service good, if a little fussy and meal was well prepared, except for risotto which was not moist and just sat there on the plate immovable.

Expensive for casual dining but worth the dressing up for special night.
