“Excellent Mexican Food with Hawaiian Twist”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2012

The Restaurant's tag line is, "Where Hola meets Aloha" and I think that hold true :-).

The portion sizes are generous, and the food is delicious.

A helpful hint to finding this place . . . . Even though taking the Boat/Canal Ride to the Boat Landing Cantina is extremely convenient, if you are going at lunch (Noon) or dinner time (6-7), consider walking. Otherwise you are competing with everyone else who is getting of the boat for a table. This place isn't that big, and they don't take reservations.

Also, if you are going at night, bring a sweatshirt or sweater. Got a little chilly when the wind came up . . . and most seating is in the shade.

Some of our favorite menu items from the BLC during our stay at the Hilton Waikoloa Resort included:
- Cantina taco salad (I had it with Kalua pork which was delicious, and my husband had it with local island fish . . also delicious.) HUGE
- Fruits from the “sea”viche… cantina style.
- Fish tacos
- The table side Guacamole (made right at your table)

Everything there was great!
