My husband and I stayed at Kings Land in February with our 3 yo daughter and my husband's parents. We were in a 2 bedroom suite that was really beautifully done. I had requested a top floor unit because I don't like to hear people walking around above me and was initially disappointed at check-in to find that we were in a 1st floor unit. However, it ended up being perfect. We were able to open our patio door and my daughter could run around and play in the grass right outside our room. We didn't end up using the grills, but it would have been more convenient from a 1st floor room as well. Even though we know someone was staying above us, we never did hear any noise, so that ended up not being a problem for us at all. Everyone we encountered was very friendly - on par with some of the 5 star properties where we've stayed. They all seemed to really enjoy working there, which I hope is the case. The pool at Kings Land was fantastic. My daughter loved the children's area with the smaller waterslide, although we found the floor of that pool to be rough on our feet. I had read some complaints that the pool temperature was too cold. It took just a little getting used to, but not much, and once we were in we were fine. Maybe someone at Kings Land read some of the same reviews and turned up the heat, if it is heated. The beaches nearby were really enjoyable, and visiting in the winter is always great for whale watching. Although we never utilized any of the pools at the Hilton resort, it was fun to explore the property for a couple of hours. It's quite an impressive place, although I would much rather stay where we were. You can't beat the convenience of having a kitchen and washer and dryer when traveling with a little one. We did sit through the sales pitch, and it was fine and low pressure.
We went to dinner one night at the Four Seasons, which is probably my favorite hotel brand. I was worried that I would be sad to leave there and head back to the Hilton. The dinner was excellent at Beach Tree, and the property is gorgeous, but I wasn't disappointed to head back to our lovely room at Kings Land. It was that nice.
