I live on the Big Island of Hawaii, and one of my favorite places to eat in the Waikoloa Beach Resort is Island Fish & Chips. It is located in the Kings Shops, near the lake. It is a little hard to find, but there are signs that will direct you to it.
If you are staying at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott or the Hilton Waikoloa Village, right down the street, you will find this a convenient and relatively inexpensive place to eat, especially after paying big bucks if have been eating at these hotel's restaurants.
This is a simple place with a small menu. But what I really like is their standard fish and chips meal, which comes with 4-3 pieces of Tempura-battered and fried fresh fish, fries, and pineapple coleslaw. Of course they have other fish choices.
You place your order at a window, pay for it, and then wait while your meal is prepared fresh. Dining is outside on tables around the lake at the King's Shop, which is a pleasant dining experience. Or, you can get take-out and bring it back to your hotel room to eat.
Best of all, the prices are not "Hawaii" outrageous. Most dinners are from $10-$14 dollars.
