Very nice, clean place. The condo we stayed in was quiet for the most part, although one of the nights we were there, there was some kind of party at night and TONS of young children were outside shouting until after midnight. The patio chairs are a nice place to relax during the day. It was really nice to have a full kitchen, which really was stocked with everything we needed to cook. There were plenty of towels and more than enough bedding, and there was even a fold-up playpen for babies (although we didn't need it). The location is decent, it's not exactly right on the beach but it is only minutes away from A-Bay. I kind of liked not being right in the middle of town anyway. The pool is nice, the hot tub is way too hot. But you're in Hawaii, what the heck are you doing in the hot tub anyway? :P We snuck into the hot tub at night (it closes at 8 or 9), and it was lukewarm and cockroaches kept trying to get in. So I don't recommend you do that, it's obviously closed at night for a reason! If you want a clean, bug-free, spacious place to stay while you are on the Big Island I highly recommend this place.

Well for start offs, the other review was right about the 3"oclock check in but we had that covered due to my wife being the travel expert..It was the best hotel we stayed at in Hawii and we stayed at 4 different ones around the islands. The beauty of this place took me by surprise. Very peaceful and quiet.Great at night to walk and lay in those hammicks along the walk way . If you like dolphins then this might be for you. They have a dolphin center in which you can touch and swin with them.(not around their pool though.) I might add ,that was one reason for our stay there.Wife loves dolphins. You can swim with turtles and other marine life in their lagoon. The place is very nice and I defitenely recommend this hotel to anyone. I'll be going back soon.......ohh yeah , if your interested in art work, they have lots and lots.

There are NO check in facilities at this complex. It is a collection of privately owned conds. A real estate agent is supposed to contact you to let you know which condo you are staying in and give you the key. Unfortunately none of this happens when you book over the internet through Expedia!!! We ended up stranded in the middle of the night and after 2 h on the phone with Expedia the best they could do was offer to give us our money back (which they still haven't done 3 weeks later). Not a promising start for our romantic wedding in Hawaii. When we booked the accommodation there was nothing to let us know there was no check in. In fact the information given says to check in after 3 pm. We later found out that we were the 3rd couple that month who had been stranded and had to go find another hotel. Apparently this always happens when people book over the internet. Fortunately the celebrant we had booked for our wedding also happened to rent a few condos, and so he saved our holiday and found us somewhere to stay. This just happened to be a condo at the Waikoloa Villas, which was actually very nice, especially for the price. Just make sure you contact the relevant real estate agents directly.
