Our daughter and her family found Ahui O Manu perfect for them and we were equally pleased with the Volcano Cottage. We also liked the fact that you had included maps with your email, which made it so much easier for us to find the houses. The two days and nights we spent at the Volcano National Park has provided our family with many wonderful memories.

I booked this hotel through Hotels.com for two nights for a certain price. Once I reached the hotel I was asked to pay 20% more for each night. I refused and told them that I will discus this with hotel.com.
Hotels.com told me that in small letters it is written that they do have the right to add to the price and if I cancel my stay I will need to pay cancellation fee.
For the fairness of this review I will say that the house I stayed in was very nice and clean.
I would suggest anyone that books an house with this people to call them directly and to make sure what is the final price.

We should have stayed at the Kilauea Volcano Cottages in their beautiful rainforest chalet. They have a first class reputation and understand the needs of families.

We unfortunately stayed at the Kilauea Rainforest Chalet run by the Volcano Lodging Directory part of Volcano Gallery.com. The names are similar but the experienced are miles apart.

While in Volcano Gallery Lodging our son wet the bed and without our authorization we were charged over $1100.00 for a two night's stay that should have cost about $400.00. If you have children or if you do not like to be taken advantage of....go to the Rainforest Chalet run by the great people at Kilauea Volcano Cottages. Mention your friends in Texas who want to save you the $700.00 bedwetting fee.

Volcano Cottage is a very comfortable, two-bedroom/two-bath house about four miles from the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. I found the property to be in excellent condition and in a very quiet and private location. The rate (a little over $1,000 for seven nights) was excellent, and a variety of breakfast food was left in the house for our use. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, TV, VCR/DVD, and a small stereo. I liked the place so much that I returned for a week in June after renting it for three nights in March! Highly recommended if you're looking for a place to stay near the best hiking on the Big Island.
