We had one of the Volcano Inn units on 2nd Avenue, and enjoyed our one night stay very much. Our unit had a kitchenette, and the trademark corner window with ferns and trees growing just outside the glass. It lacked for nothing. We did not reserve, just called that morning, since we don't like to schedule ourselves too much. I would consider making a reservation if there is a next visit to Volcano National Park, because it was a very nice accomodation. The owner has built the units himself, with good quality materials and thoughtful details.
