“Great place to see the glow of the lava”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2012

The lava stopped flowing right before we got to the island so this was as good as we could get. Go at night and see the red/orange glow if you're also there during a time when there is no lava flow. As far as I know it's as good as you're gonna get.

“Decent collection of volcanic rocks”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2012

The Jagger museum is located at one of the overlooks for mt Kilauea . The museum itself is not much to write about. They have a decent collection of volcanic hair lava rocks . It's just one 600-700 sqft room with a gift shop. If u want to get out of the wind u can ooh and ash at the crater from inside the museum.

“Lots to learn!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2011

We spent a hour in this place, and loved it! Some of the rangers were a bit grumpy when asked questions. The gift shop is nice, great view of the Volcano. Come here at night to see the orange glow!
