“A must!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

I loved that the rangers at Jaggar Museum gave great talks out on the deck over-looking the volcano. They were so knowledgeable and I learned a lot listening to them.

“Go on dusk - the Lava glow is worth it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

This is a great informative place to visit. The centre is open til 6:30pm so best to spend 1/2 looking around that before "Waiting" for dark to see the lava glow. It is amazing.

“Good museum and great views of the crater”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

We started our visit to the Volcano Park by visiting the Jaggar Museum. It's a small museum but gives a good, brief overview of the park and how volcanoes work. It was good info to know before visiting the rest of the park. It also has great views of the caldera and crater close by.

“Must See at Night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

Not only is the exhibit informative, but the view of the glow from the crater at night is awesome. Dress warmly!

“Interesting, just the right amount of info”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

This is a very well set up museum. You could go through in a few minutes and get useful information or you could spend longer if you wanted more in depth information. The exhibits are eye catching but don't overwhelm the senses. Since the real exhibits are outside I thought it struck a nice balance.
