We enjoyed our stay with Chris and Tisha. Beautifully redone historic home.

We felt welcomed. It was an very good value, too!

They welcomed us very well and they gave us a lot of advices about what to do and to see in Pahoa. We only stayed there one night. We wished we had stayed more than one night because there is so many things to do in Pahoa that we did not know. The house was very clean. The whole shabang! If you choose this hotel, be vigilant on your way because it is not visible from the road.

The grounds are like the Garden of Eden, with all kinds of tropical plants and exotic fruit. This charming, plantation-style inn is spotless, and neatly decorated in shabby chic. Loved our suite, plenty of privacy, space to relax, and TV if you want it...my 8-year-old son liked exploring the grounds, and said "I could live here."
Beds are super comfy, bathroom facilities are upgraded, and we loved having the large kitchen, barbecue and deck to prepare and enjoy meals. The owners provided us with a map and we were busy each day with all sorts of activities nearby. The inn is minutes away from hot ponds, the beach, and the funky, quaint town of Pahoa where you can shop, enjoy a meal or drinks, get a massage, or do Zumba!
We snorkeled with turtles and tropical fish, surfed, and visited the Farmer's Market. We can't wait to go back.

Being a long-time Hawaii resident, I wanted to stay in an "off the tourist track" area while exploring the Big Island for a few days. Kapoho is the perfect place to stay for a couple nights while visiting the Volcano, tide pools, lava flows, and beaches of the Puna district. Kapoho Village Inn was very clean and very quiet. All you hear at night are the coqui frogs. The Inn is located 15 minutes from Pahoa which has restaurants and grocery stores. I was impressed with the recent restoration and remodeling, especially with the choice of higher end fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms. If you like to be off the beaten track and want a taste of the real Hawaii, you should definitely consider staying for a couple nights.

Hi, my wife and I stayed there just after new years 2009 and had the whole house all to ourselves. Chris was very nice getting us settled and recommended good places nearby to check out. The location was close to great snorkeling and not too far from the lava flows. We flew into Hilo and went food shopping for breakfast food there. (This is a B&B without the 2nd B). There is a very small town with a nice pizza place around 10-15 min away. Enjoy.
