“So good. So glad we stopped (near Akaka Falls)”
Ed's Bakery was on the way to Akaka falls, which was sort of off the beaten path for us. We stayed on the Kona side of the Island and wanted to take a day on the other side of the island. We were starving when we left the falls and stopped in this little strip in the town, hoping to find a sandwich and some snacks. Thank goodness we did. They had everything from sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, ice cream and a ton of other healthy choices.
Then there was the bakery.. Good lord a person could get fat if that place was near where you lived. I absolutely love cinnamon buns and normally get suckered into buying one if I'm at a bakery. The cinnamon buns here were the best I have ever tried. That's ever! It's not an exaggeration. My wife got a thing of cookies and another piece of bakery and everything was amazing. Finding a good bakery on the Island itself was a surprise and how good everything was was another. They ship their preserves and the bakery was so good I'm considering seeing if they will ship some of the cinnamon buns back to the states. It honestly was that good.
