“Private national park views”

My husband and I love a great view while relaxing on a balcony. This property delivered that and so much more. The accomodations were simple, but met every need (and want). The value was great. An excellent breakfast was delivered everyday plus we were greeted with a bottle of wine and appetizers. One feels so privliged to be able to stay there.

Room Tip: There is only one room for rent at this B and B, therefore your sense of privacy is complete.

The Waipio Rim bed and breakfast was, hands down, the most beautiful place we've ever stayed! The view from the cottage is stunning and the location is gorgeous - and this beauty is only part of the reason we loved staying there! Steve and Nancy thought of every detail, making us feel like every moment at Waipio was special! The home made breakfasts were different every day and were absolutely delicious - and we stayed for 5 days and had 5 wonderful breakfasts!! I was waking up before my alarm because I was excited for breakfast! The actual room was gorgeous, bright and decorated with lovely hand-crafted items. Steve and Nancy thought of every detail and truly made our stay memorable - we can't wait to go back!!! On another note, we rated the "Fitness centre" as being 5/5 because that walk down into the Waipio Valley and up again is the best fitness centre we've ever been to!

We had read the many positive reviews before booking, but thought, come on, every one of them five star. What's going on? Is this really possible? After staying there five days in July, I have to say yes, they are. Can't thank Steve and Nancy enough for making this a wonderful and relaxing getaway for us. Whenever we woke up, coffee magically appeared on our balcony, followed 30 minutes later by a wonderful breakfast to start our day. If you really want to get away and see what Hawaii is truly like, I suggest you experience Steve and Nancy's hospitality and join the list of satisfied customers. It's an experience you'll treasure for a long time! Danny & Mary

We spent five nights at the Waipio Rim in September 2011. You stay in a lovely room overlooking the breathtaking view of the Waipio Rim. The breakfasts were amazing, and the mango smoothies after hike to and from the black sand beach delicious!! I would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting The Big Island!

We stayed at Waipiorim Rim and hope to return the next time we are on the Big Island. The studio is beautiful and the view is breathtaking. The deck is lovely to sit on and drink your coffee while watching the waves and surfers. Nancy and Steve are wonderful host and cooks. We have recommended this B&B to several fellow travelers. I would not recommend this B&B for families traveling with active toddlers or children. It was a truly a relaxing experience.

We have stayed in over 100 places in Hawaii. This is the most stunning in terms of location. Everything else about it was wonderful as well. This is a great place to stay and see Waipio and the rest of the Hamakua Coast.
