“Home made organic bagels!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

I was thrilled to find good bread (bagels) on the Big Island (seems hard to find!) This is a lovely place to stop and fuel up on the way South (maybe to Cooks bay, City of Refuge or the Volcanoes National Park.) Everything is freshly made and delicious. I have particularly enjoyed the veggie bagel and the omelet bagel.

“Better Bakery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

Fabulous banana bread with several options. We chose macadamia chocolate chip. Well, we're in Hawaii! Bought a loaf which the staff kindly sliced for us. It stayed fresh and enjoyable until every last crumb disappeared two days later.

“Great food, friendly staff, almost everything made from scratch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

What a great place and find. Even though my husband and I are not vegetarians, this place is good for vegetarians. We had the the bagel sandwich and veggie omelette. So good, filling. Garlic spread on bagel was yummy. They put it on all their sandwiches too.

Would go again.

Banana bread their specialty.

“Cookies to die for!”

Oatmeal chocolate chip Mac nut cookies kept us going back almost daily for nine days.
The open faced sandwich is great take out for a picnic. And large enough for two.
Highly recommend!

“Bearclaws are worth the drive.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013 via mobile

Stopped here twice while in Kona. It's on the way to black sand beach. Service was friendly. It's a small bakery/cafe/coffee and smoothie joint. We had bearclaws fresh from the oven. Flaky, sweet, and large!
