Simply the most relaxing and welcoming place I've ever stayed at. Owners are the most sociable people, and their breakfasts are to die for! Rooms are elegant and beds extremely comfortable. The front two bedrooms have million dollar views. I will definitely be returning to Aloha Guest House on my next visit to the Hawaiian islands.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms with ocean view. Although all and every one of the rooms are spectacular.

We stayed here 2 nights. Lee and Svetlana have just taken over as owners and hosts. We found them to be wonderful hosts, very friendly and eager to make out stay happy and relaxing. Svetlana makes a wonderful cooked breakfast. "The Road" to the property has been commented on by others . It's steepish, but it's pretty well sealed and is a piece if cake really. If u r put off by this 1 mile drive u will have missed out on something very special .

I can only agree with Wictor! We spent 5 nights in the guesthouse and shared a couple of delicious breakfasts full of inspirational discussions together. It was a very special atmosphere up in the hills, waking up in the middle of nature with a fantastic view directly from the bed and still with all the comfort you don't want to miss.
Greg was a perfect host, sharing lots of information, creating delicious breakfasts and still respecting the privacy of the guests.
We also met the future hosts of Aloha Guesthouse and are sure that they will keep up the friendly atmosphere and continue making this place such a fantastic place to stay. All the best!

We stayed 8 days (Nov 8th - Nov 16th) We had originally planned to stay 2 nights but the room, the view, the other guest and the host Kamana’onui (Greg for short) made us change our plans.

How we found the place in the middle of the night driven a mile up in what is called a road is an adventure by itself.
So anyone that is afraid of not so paved roads, do not give up, the reward after the mile is just fantastic.

We had a fantastic room, the breakfast is unforgettable good. It was also a great pleasure to sit and discuss with the other guest their and our adventures. Also Greg gave us good advise what to see.

The Aloha Guest House is not offside as there are several restaurants and Take Outs close by.

Different guide books publish GEMS to visit. They have forgotten this B&B.

High on the mountainside overlooking the Kona coast, this lovely B&B is a delightful discovery. The rustic, rough road winds a mile through coffee plantations, macadamia tree groves and small homesteads ending at the guest house set amid palms, banana trees, papayas and other plantings rich with fruit and flowers. After a day of traveling solo, the warm welcome by hosts Lee and Svetlana, made me feel instantly at home. The rooms are inviting, comfortable, clean and well furnished, with bathrobes and nice linens, and guide books (however I could have used a good road map of the area). Opening onto a spacious lanai with a gorgeous view of the ocean, there are comfy chairs designed for relaxing with a good book and a cocktail. Sunsets are very special here, the food is delicious, and it was good to know that the place is solar powered, lightening my traveler's footprint. . My only complaint was that I didn't plan a longer stay!

Room Tip: the largest room has a kitchen and a couch, the front room has an ocean view.

The stay began with a mile long adventure up the road to the house.(We thankfully had rented a 4-wheel drive)Past the coffee farms and free roaming chickens, we found a piece of paradise! Johann was kind enough to prepare our breakfast early as we had scheduled a snorkeling tour early in the morning. The food was wonderful and the BEST Kona coffee anywhere. The rooms were very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We spent 3 nights there and would stay again if we are lucky enough to return to Hawaii.

Lets begin with, the road up the mountain is an adventure in itself. With that in mind we had just left Maui and had spent the last four nights in a sleek resort, so my first impression might have been a little jaded. Let me just say after waking up that first morning looking out that big window my mind had changed. Looking down the mountain at the beautiful blue water of the Kona coastline is simply an amazing view that all of us need to have at least once in our lives. Our hosts, Lee and Svetlana were wonderful. They did all they could to make us feel at home and meet our needs. The first morning we were to be there a snorkeling trip put us leaving that morning before breakfast, Svetlana made us some muffins the night before and made sure that we had everything we needed that morning. The next morning when we were there for breakfast, the food and the conversation were equally nice. I look forward to returning after these two have had a chance to tweak whats is already a great place to stay on the big island. Mahalo for taking such great care of us for a few nights.

But after the first night waking up looking out that huge window down the mountain to the water my mind had changed. This place is a little slice of heaven. The first morning we had a snorkeling trip planned so we had to miss breakfast, but our gracious hosts Lee and Sletvana were wonderful and made arrangements for us to have something to eat before we left. She made us muffins the night before and showed us where everything was at. When we were there for real breakfast it was wonderful. Both the food and the conversation were interesting and fun. I'm looking forward to coming back after these two have a chance to tweak and already great place to stay on the big island.

Room Tip: Splurge and get the room with the big picture windows, you'll be glad you did.
