“Home away from home--great hosts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012

Located with easy access to The Tetons and Yellowstone, the greatest selling point for Teton View B&B are the hosts, Carol and Franz. The local advice that they are able to offer provides such an enhancement to the overall experience. My only concern is the weight that we gained despite hiking on 6-7 miles/day -- the breakfasts are fabulous!

We were only able to spend 2 nights here at the end of May 2012. If we had known how wonderful it would be we would have stayed longer! We agree with all the positive remarks left by other guests and would recommend this accomodation in a heartbeat. The tips Franz gave us for our visit to Yellowstone were very helpful. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely come back.

Thank you for the nice comments. It's always a pleasure meeting new guests from overseas and you both were certainly a pleasure to be with. We're glad your journey to Yellowstone was great and we hope you come stay again if you come back to this part of the USA!

My wife and I had the good fortune to spend a couple of days with Franz and Carol several years ago and were delighted to return this May, finding their lovely home and guest accomodations as comfortable and lovely as we remembered. We are generally not B&B travelers, but would not consider staying anywhere else in the Jackson area. These are very nice people who genuinely care about their guests.

Room Tip: Their free-standing cabin is delightful and very private. We stayed in it both visits. We also toure...

So nice to have you return for a visit! Summer did finally arrive and we were able to get our annuals planted in mid-June! But, we're glad you were "early birds" as the parks are so quiet and peaceful in May. We hope to see you on another visit to Jackson Hole. Thanks for returning and for taking the time to write a nice review.

First of all, a special "Thank You" to all who have posted reviews on Trip Advisor about the Teton View B&B. The 5 star ratings given by previous posters were indeed accurate. We stayed at the Teton View B&B early in June 2012. The views of the Tetons from our own private deck were amazing! We stayed in the Bear Den suite - it was so nice to have that extra sitting room. The accommodations were spotless. We were greeted by Carol and a plate of her wonderful cookies. When she observed that we had brought a bottle of wine, wine glasses suddenly appeared. Carol & Franz are delighted hosts - it is obvious that they truly enjoy what they are doing. Their breakfasts are to die for. We are dog lovers, and they even provided a fine canine companion in the form of "Otto". Carol recommended that we check out the Calico restaurant just down the road from the inn. What a delightful place - off the beaten tourist path and frequented by the locals. We liked it so much, we dined there 2 nights. We were sad to leave after only 2 nights - it was like saying "good bye" to good friends. Stay here - you will not be disappointed.

We spent 4 days with relatives from Germany. Franz and Carol were charming and wonderful hosts. Their home, the surroundings, the spectacular view of the Tetons from the balcony and the unbelievable breakfasts were fabulous and we felt very much at home the moment we arrived. Ideal location if you want to be away from the tourist mob in Jackson. And the family of Moose right outside their back door was an added extra treat!

If you are going to the Jackson area to experience the Grand Teton’s then the Teton View B&B is for you. Carol and Franz and the accommodations far exceeded even all the great reviews already provided. The thing I want to point out is how much more convenient it is to stay in this area if you are going to tour the park. First you get the great Teton views that cannot be seen from the city part of Jackson or even from Teton Village as the village is so close to the base of the mountains. You also can utilize the route 390 that runs by Teton Village and up to Moose to access the park which is excellent for wildlife viewing and is actually part of the park. There are also a few restaurants along this road and access to the Teton Village for other amenities. This was a huge benefit to us. We were travelling with my parents and reserved both the Bear Den and Grand View rooms, so we had the whole upstairs area shown in the attached photos. There is a gathering area at the lower entrance with a table, fridge, and coffee maker. The indoor Jacuzzi is located off this private area. Up a short flight of stairs is an open landing area which has the entry areas to both rooms and the second floor deck (Grand view also has a sliding door to the deck). From the Bear Den and the indoor landing area we had a good level of privacy using the deck, as the Grand View room has a private door to the deck that was not visible from where the larger table was placed (as you can see from the photo). A nice feature is that the deck is now covered so we were able to enjoy a glass of wine out there the one rainy evening and it was also comfortable in the heat of the day. I snapped a few photos to give you a visual of how comfortable the house was and how beautiful and serene our stay was….the breakfasts were as great as all the other reviews have mentioned….

We are frequent travelers and often stay at bed and breakfast establishments. The Teton View B&B is a comfortable and enjoyable place to call home if you're staying in the Jackson Hole area. Their room rates are very reasonable compared to others in the area and Carol and Franz are amazing hosts - friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. You will like them instantly! They also have a large library of books on the area, if you still need to do some planning.

We stayed in the Bear Den suite. The bed was comfortable, closet space was ample, and everything was immaculately clean. The suite had a TV and if you bring a laptop, there is Internet access. There was more than enough great food to eat at breakfast. Carol also bakes cookies in the evening for guests.

We asked to borrow outdoor folding chairs, and Carol was happy to accommodate. While there, a moose and her two calves snacked on the landscaping one morning.

Everything about our stay was pleasant and enjoyable! Next time we go back to Jackson Hole, we'll stay here again!

Room Tip: The Bear Den was a terrific suite.
