“Our stay at Green Creek RV park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

the owners, Jeff and Carol are the nicest people. They are very helpful and well informed of the area. If you ask they will do what they can to help. We stayed in the campground and extended our stay. When we left it was bittersweet as we felt we were leaving friends. Recommend this location with it's beautiful view and reasonable pricing and of course the hosts. Thanks for a great time

We stayed for 3 nights at Green Creek Inn, and it was a very nice Motel with very nice and helpfull owners.
They helped us to finding an accurate tour through the park ( A private tour with Codyshuttle.com that was very interesting and informative ) and offerd us some food during our staying.
Nice Atmosphere with nice owners just at the entrance of the Nationalpark!

We've been very early birds coming towards the East Entrance of the Yellowstone Park. Here we've found open doors, a warm welcome and help. The cabin we've stayed in was nice (I love logs) and roomy. Add to this that the deer were just roaming around and you get the atmosphere...

We stayed a week in the RV portion of the site complex which had an Inn, 9 RV slots, and a tent camping area. Laundry facility was very clean, machines appeared to be very new, it was roomy, had a folding table, well lighted, and comfortable. Site was easy to navigate and quiet. Surrounding area was mostly farm land. Entry and exit from the adjoining highway was easy. Dog area was grassy and there were always pick-up bags available. Main office had a pizza cookery for frozen pizzas which were available from the office. The office contained the site lounge for dining, TV watching, and the gift shop. The site was clean, well policed of trash, seemed well maintained. Grassy picnic area had tables with bench seating.

We arrived just past prime season rates and payed Passport America rates for our entire week's stay. You will need to have your Passport America card with you at time of check-in.

All RV hook-ups worked well. Water pressure was very good. There were a limited number of RV slots available so you should reserve well ahead of time. Green Creek Inn is about 15 miles west of Cody and about 30 miles east of the Yellowstone East Entrance.

We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Lodging in Cody WY was to expensive so we selected the Green Creek Inn which was mid-way between Cody and the East Entrance to Yellowsone. Located right along the Northfork highway.
I believe it was 29 miles to Yellowstone and 22 miles to Cody.
Small motel and RV park. Very large rooms, Great beds, Western style furniture. Small bathroom. No breakfast. Free coffeee 24 hrs. in office. Very private and very quiet after busy days in Cody and Yellowstone.

Room Tip: Room 8 on the end of first row. 2 doubles.

We had a reservation for August and was a little concerned about reviews but what we experienced was just a great place...people and staff! We arrived early during the office/cleaning staff lunch time. We were told room was not ready but we could have our luggage put in our room once ready. We had forgotten to talk to someone about pets but what we found was better than imagined. They offer pet setting as well as reasonable rates. So we left our family pet with "Carolyn" for daycare and headed into Yellowstone. Coming back around 8, our "Sammy" (small lab) was playing with the owners pets and having a good time. We noticed Sammy didn't even notice us, at first. On to the rooms...very clean and everything you need. Food on premises in a little concession stand with breakfast the speciality. Nothing fancy but reasonable prices. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the evening campfire, which was provided by Jeff and staff. All in all, a great place, reasonable prices and everything we needed for a great stay at Yellowstone!!

Room Tip: Rooms on front with double beds have the view!

We had the most unpleasant experience on this property. We were looking for a place to stay and recommendations for some of of friends as well. This place really looked nice but when we pulled in to inquire, we were greated by a less than friendly owner who ordered us off his property and advised us if we "weren't guest" then we needed to pay attention to the no trespassing signs....gee, if you are going to run a business, why do you have to post no trespassing signs to begin with.

Reluctantly, we want to point out that the structure above us is causing alot of problems, both for us and some guests. We don't want to promote this site but if you go to www.smithmansion.org , you can see the problem. We are constantly dealing with people thinking we are the promoters and as such, have signs posted no trespassing to see this structure. We take our guest's privacy and security very seriously and for this reason, if you are not a guest...you will be asked to leave if you enter our property. Again, we are not promoting this site and encourage people to call numbers on their site instead of driving into our property causing problems for everyone concerned.
