“Bit of a splurge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2011

We pulled into town late to find a Motor cycle rally had booked out our usual budget property...This grand old place has been around for some time...Who has not converted from double to Queen bed ? Tiny bath en suite...(after all the attraction is the baths) The property won my heart when I went to reception in the AM to call for a AAA jump start... The clerk produced a battery pack from behind the desk...Made our day !!! carracar

This hotel needs a major upgrade. The carpet is stained and dirty. The wallpaper is peeling in places. The grout is grimy.
Really triggered allergy flare in my husband.
I don't so much care about having things in the latest style. If it had just been out of date I wouldn't have minded. It was not well maintained. Also no elevator, which was bad for my mother's knees.

I don't usually write reviews, but I just had to share our experience at this Thermopolis Days Inn. It was highly recommended by my neighbor, and we were not disappointed at all! The staff was extremely cordial and accommodating. The room was very clean and was on the patio/pool side, had a great view! The photos on display in the hallways were absolutely incredible! If you're a hunter or outdoorsman, you will be mesmerized by the amazing photo journey of these hunters. We were very satisfied with the prices of the room, bar, and restaurant as well. Definitely an enjoyable visit. Will recommend it to our friends!

Very nice people checking in. The room was dated but clean. Quiet mostly, but close to the train tracks so we were woken in the middle of the night when the train went by. We tried out their hot springs' hot tub in the morning, but it was too hot! Too bad since we had so much fun visiting the public bath house the day before. Within walking distance of the public hot springs' bath house, and a nice walk to Taco Johns and an ice cream place.

After refusing to stay at a horrible (and I do mean horrible as in "worst possible ever") "Fountain of Youth RV Park" cabin I'd reserved, our family was desperate to find a decent place in Thermopolis that would accept dogs. Days Inn had openings, so we stayed there two nights. Location is excellent, right in the Hot Springs State Park - you could walk to the Star Plunge and TeePee Pools, which was great, since that's what we came to Thermop to do. The room was your standard motel room, but it was clean and quiet at night and the beds are comfortable. The pool is nice, and the spa was filled with the famous thermal water - definitely a bonus. Loved the restaurant!!! Excellent food and service and VERY colorful decor - memorable! If I had to find something to complain about, the room where the complimentary continental breakfast was served was a little crowded - a very minor complaint. Overall, a great stay, and we'll be back next year!

The hotel was run down and dirty. Our rooms were not clean. We dined in the Safari Restaurant at the hotel, because there wasn't much selection in this town. Our waiter was ill, and kept sniffing and wiping his nose with his hands. After our food was delivered, we did not see our waiter again! While we were dining, the music from the lounge area was turned up extremely loud. Several of the songs being played had sexually explicit lyrics, which were inappropriate while families with children were dining nearby. When we complained to the restaurant manager, she stated WE should have gone to the lounge and asked them to turn the music down! She did not care that we had a very bad dining experience! We won't return to this hotel!!!!

Lots of pics of how an over priced motel can pay for years and years of hunting trips.Even Motel 8 has flat screens. Outdated and overpriced both for the room and the meals. I would never stay there again, let alone recommend anyone else do.
