“The good and the ok”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

The staff was over the top. They were well trained to help every customer's need and not say no unless you ask to leave a night or two early (and not get dinged). Truly, the service was exceptional including the spa, front desk, and valet staff.

The hotel's location was premium and hotel looked nice but there are areas that needed attention. The bathrooms were very large and nice. The hallways (6th-8thfloor) near the rooms ending in 40-50 stunk like a burnt down house. The rooms were large but lacked a dresser. The beds were hard and pillows too mushy. I asked for a more firm pillow. Housekeeping brought one that was so thick my head would have been propped up 90 degrees during the night.

The rooms lacked a true ac and were very warm during the night. I did not sleep well any of the nights. The temperatures have been very warm during the day and have not been cooling off until 10p at night. If you opened your windows at night, you would hear the chatter by the fire pit.

The rooms lacked proper lighting. Other than two night stand lamps, there was one large overhead light. If one person in your party wanted to sleep, they would have to sleep with the lights on or the other person would be sitting in the dark. There were no separate light switches for the entry area or floor stand lights next to the chairs.

Behind the hotel was a large red tram which took passengers to a height of 10,000 feet. Views were unbelievable. You could use the tram ticket to ride the smaller gondola (next to the hotel) for free. The town center of Teton village had free shows at 5p Tues-Th. The Raptor Wednesday show was spectacular.

For those arriving at the airport who have never been to Jackson Hole, please note there were two ways to get to the Four Seasons. The map showed it a shorter route if you exit the airport to the North. This road was part dirt and very desolate. The other route was exited to the South, drive thru the town of Jackson Hole and continue to Teton Village.

The roads were paved and well lit with descent signs. If you exit to the North, there was no sign of life. It was a bit worrisome coming from a larger city. The hotel operator was very helpful finding my way back to civilization. If you rent a car from Alamo, the facility was located in the city of Jackson Hole and not at the airport.

The concierge was helpful when I inquired about the Raptor show. She provided additional information at a very rapid pace. When I failed to absorb the details, she gave me a dirty look. I gained her less than worthy award. The valet service was top notch. They were prompt, helpful, and light hearted. The haircut from the spa was sub-par. The cut was uneven.

If you plan on driving the Loop around Yellowstone, allow 11-12 hours. Old faithful goes off every 90 minutes and the road east of Mammoth is under construction for 10-15 miles. Expect two 30 minute delays.

The best hotel in Teton Village, truly an amazing place with focus squarely on the customer. The staff bends over backwards to make sure your accommodations exceed expectations. I've stayed there now every year for over 15 years and I have NEVER had a bad experience.

The FS Jackson Hole is right at the foot of the ski slopes and is super convenient. However, the service and attention to detail of the hotel is not quite up to standards, even comparing it to other Four Season resorts, such as the FS at Whistler or Vail. First, the daily breakfast buffet was a frustrating experience. The staff were not well-trained and not attentive at all. It seemed like each morning, there was someone new working at the restaurant and it was their first day on the job. Second, housekeeping lacked a certain attention to detail and even upon numerous phone calls and complaints, no improvement was made. For example, housekeeping kept forgetting to replace the stirrers in the minibar area. They came to clean up to used stirrers, coffee mugs etc. but they didn't give you new ones. There was also a couple of times when they replenished the shampoo, but not the conditioner. It was truly mind-blowing how they missed these things. It seemed like they just didn't have a check-list for the things they should replenish and check when they clean the rooms. Third, the food at the hotel was really unimpressive. This may be a function of the lack of competition in Jackson or Teton Village, but when guests stay there for a week-long ski holiday, it's not pleasant to have to eat the same mediocre food day in and day out. If the hotel can invest more on a great chef, I think it can bring in a lot more business especially given there aren't many alternatives in Teton Village. On the positive side, we noticed there were several "managers" working at the hotel who were very helpful and attentive. They sort of "float" around between the restaurant, the ski concierge, the lounge area, and the spa. They were not there everyday or at the same time everyday. If you run into them, then you are in luck, but otherwise, the other staff seemed pretty clueless. Overall, I think the FS JH is an average resort of its caliber and it certainly has room to improve with better management and training of its staff.

I attended a conference, so I didn't have the chance to enjoy everything the hotel offered. Every moment I had free, I sat outside and enjoyed the sun and the fresh air. The staff is very attentive and caring. The guest rooms are large, the bed comfortable and the bathroom spacious with first class products. The staff at breakfast, lunch and at the special dinner did an impressive job.

Stayed here in June for a conference. The hotel is beautiful. The room was well appointed and had a fireplace, which we used on one cool evening. The restaurants were clean and the menus offered a great selection including some regional meats. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, though I could have used a more firm pillow. All in all, a great hotel.

This is a beautiful resort at the foot of the Grand Teton Mountains, and just a few miles from the national park. The staff was superb, the food was great and the property is filled with beautiful art work. We arrived in early June to perfect weather in the mountains. Snow-capped peaks against a brilliant blue sky every day with temperatures about 70 degrees. There's lots to do in Jackson during the summer from hiking to wildlife tours to rafting on the Snake River. We did it all, except for hang-gliding although we did sit outside and watch others glide down from the mountain into a beautiful meadow. This was actually a business trip since my husband leads a group of CEOs every year for a one-week retreat. The staff at the Four Seasons had everything prepared for us and gave us their full attention. The conference rooms and the technical staff were great. The general manager came by a couple of times to greet us. Very nice. The special dinners were first-rate, too, and we were covered up in service. I recommend this hotel for leisure as well as for business retreats. We had a wonderfully relaxing time.

We spent four days during our recent stay. Great resort, beautiful views, friendly staff. Our room was exceptional as it was spacious, with beautiful views and a great patio for relaxing. Enjoyed the fire pits in the evenings that were outside the bar. Staff was super friendly and very accomodating. Food was excellent especially the Elk Chili Nachos in the Handle Bar. Definitely recommend Four Season in Jackson Hole.
