“A Beautiful Week!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

When we arrived, even though it was a business trip for my husband, it was still our anniversary. I called ahead to have champagne for us but was told it would be complimentary as well as a cheese plate. It was waiting on us chilled as well as nice note from the Hotel General Manager. Such a nice touch! The room is beautiful with a walk in closet on the right of the entry hallway, a large bathroom with heated flooring, a sitting area with a beautiful fireplace, work area, and a sleeping area. The balcony was my favorite part. Even though we were on the 4th floor, it is actually the 2nd floor due to the hotel's layout. We overlooked the pool and had a magnificent mountain view. I would have to say though, after a long day white water rafting and mingling with business associates I was ready to hit the sack at 10pm and kids were loudly playing in the pool. No one downstairs apparently cared about their volume and being only 2 floors up, we heard the brunt of it. I can't say anything about the restaurant's food as all our meals were catered but everything we had was excellent. The service we received at all times was impeccable. Our fireplace didn't work the first evening we got there but I called the next day and someone was sent within 10 mins who had it working in the next 10 mins. It was really nice to walk into our room after a long day with the bed turned down, a pitcher of water on the bedside table and the fire going. The robe and slippers in the closet are also a nice touch. I last thing I have to mention is my husband just wanted a pop one evening. You can't find one anywhere. There isn't a machine around. You either have to call room service for one can of pop or leave the grounds to head over to the Teton Village. There was got to be an easier way. However, pop does not ruin my stay. I did go to the spa twice. The facial was average but the massage was one of my top three. The spa is nice and spacious. I wished I had time to spend lounging in the hot tub, or the relaxation area. The gym was also clean with good equipment. The towels and headphones are nice to use, especially when you forget yours. I wished the gym had more a view. I ran outside the rest of my stay. So - We WILL be back. We had the most wonderful time and it doesn't hurt that work paid for it!

Staff was outstanding
Room beautiful - design, details and amenities first class
Room location below expectations - balcony right above hotel entrance
Lobby Bar service slow - had to approach bar for an afternoon glass of wine
The Handle Bar service was very good - staff very friendly and outgoing

Literally you can throw a baseball and hit both lift operators from the ski concierge

They warn your boots, give you cider and remember your name

S'mores and hot cocoa by the pool. Great gym

Afternoon sushi. What?

We've seen A list actors every time we go but the atmosphere is low key

We stayed in a 2 bedroom private residence that was top notch and beautifully decorated. After five days we decided to extend our stay and move to room 1057 which is a 3 bedroom penthouse with vaulted ceilings. This room is the definition of luxury in every way. The comfort and cleanliness of the furniture and beds is way beyond other five star hotels. We stayed with our 1.5 and 3 year old girls who had a blast at the pool, riding horses, and going up the gondola. They had an outdoor movie while we stayed at the pool and our 3 year old loved it. I look at some of the recent reviews and wonder what world they are living in. This resort is NICE. So nice that we are coming back in the winter. Staff was top notch in all departments. We leave tomorrow and it will be hard to leave.

This was our first trip to Jackson Hole and we were excited to stay at the Four Seasons for a few nights as we wanted to experience both Teton Village and the town so we stayed at 2 different resorts starting with the Four Seasons. As one would expect, the hotel is beautiful with a great bar with fire pits outside, plus a casual pub, The Handle Bar, a nicer restaurant, The Westbank Grill, nice spa and decent workout facility. The rooms were also good size, with double sinks, great shower, nice toiletries, and a gas fireplace in the bedroom. We booked a Valley View room, knowing that that even the lower class of room is still a nice room at the Four Seasons (having stayed at several other Four Seasons ) so when I asked upon check-in if we had a nice view, the man checking us basically lied unless one likes looking at all the cars driving up in the driveway and people watching as folks check into the hotel. That's right - our "Valley View" overlooked the valley of the driveway up to the entrance. So not what one wants, and I wish that they had just told the truth instead of trying to tell us it was nice view. In any event, paid for the upgrade to a Mountain View room - which was slightly better in that yes, indeed there was a mountain or large hill out our window but so was the ski lift which might have looked cool in winter but in summer was just kind of there and vast. We were also over The Handle Bar so conversations drifted in at night but it was still better than the driveway "valley view." There were other inconsistencies which, staying at the Four Seasons should not exist. For example, the concierge team was on the whole not good. Our reservations were mixed up for dinner on a few occasions and in one instance we were told that we couldn't get into a particular restaurant but we ended up going there anyway and got seated at a table right away - go figure. Also, their trail maps for the hikes were terrible until one good concierge finally told us to talk to the folks in their Base Camp store. We went there and a very knowledgeable young man pointed us in the direction of a terrific trail map - a National Geographic guide - which unfortunately, they had just sold out of but he told us where we could get one in town. The pool area was nice although the pool was poorly designed with a big boulder type structure in the middle that you couldn't go on - which was fine - but it took up a lot of space in the pool with less room to swim, still it was nice to go in one of the 3 hot tubs at the end of a long hike and swim around the boulder and ease the aching muscles. I wouldn't stay in Teton Village again - just not enough there to justify it unlike other ski areas that have a town area and a mountain village area. Maybe I'd feel differently if we were skiing. And the drive into town was about 15 -20 minutes depending on traffic so one may not want to go out to dinner in town and then drive back to the village. Finally, on the housekeeping, on our first day, after being gone for several hours hiking, we returned and the room was not yet made up, this was about 3 in the afternoon so we were somewhat annoyed and wanting to lie down after a day of hiking but - to their credit, they came and made up the room immediately upon our calling and thereafter it was a not a problem. Bottom line - when you stay at a Four Seasons, you expect a certain level of quality and service, this time it wasn't all there. I really wanted to love it but was disappointed - there are other hotels in the area that may not have all the amenities the Four Seasons has, but on the whole are better because they excel at what they do have.

Room Tip: Don't get a Valley View room!

This hotel is outstanding. The rooms are beautiful and the staff really wants to please. It is a little off the beaten path in the summer. The chairlift is nearby and should not be missed. The views are superb.

I stayed at the Four Seasons in Jackson for 4 nights. With a small surcharge I have been upgraded to a king bed suite. The room was very nice and clean as well as the 2 bathrooms. As expected, services were perfect and staff members were very friendly (maybe they have too many “young” members’ staff that requires more experience…).
The hotel has every things you need but maybe the swimming pool should be a little bit bigger ( compared with the ones you can get at the Four Seasons in Vail – Colorado).
Food at the restaurant (the steakhouse) was excellent.
Overall, a typical, beautiful Four Season resort
