“Excellent service in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2010

My partner and I recently stayed at the Teton Mountain Lodge for a ski holiday. I must say it wasnt the cheapest hotel I've stayed at, but it was most defintely worthwhile and value for money. The hotel is located right in Teton Village, within a couple of minutes walk to all restaurants, bars, the shuttle stop to Jackson Hole and most importantly, the ski lifts. We stayed in a standard room, although it was by no means 'standard'. We had a gas fireplace, and a massive two person bathtub. The room was very clean, and had (can you believe it!?) windows you can actually open - fresh air! The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and were willing to cater to any request we had. Concierge were wonderful, as were the wait staff in the hotel restaurant. The only criticism I would have was the noise that would come through the door that faced the adjoining room - at times you could hear the nieghbours conversations. If you can, request a room without an adjoing door. Other than that - we had a wonderful stay, and would stay there again in a second.

On our way across-country last summer, pulling into the Grand Tetons, we did not have a place to stay for the night. I pulled out my I-Phone to search for a comfy hotel. This was the last place that had a room. We were willing to pay a little more to have the pool for our son and a comfortable bed to sleep in for the night. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very nice (she wasn't stationed at the hotel, but dealt w/ all of the chain's hotel reservations), but ehn when we pulled up... valet was rude... and the people at the front desk couldn't stop their conversation long enough to check us in. Getting to the room we discovered that our AC didn't work so we called down, they sent someone up who attempted to fix it, without luck, so they gave us free room service for breakfast the next morning. We left to go down to the pool, closed the door. Upon our return, the molding on the door had fallen off. [---] Was this just our REALLY bad luck or was this just a really bad room, or the hotel?!?!? MAN?!?

From the first inquiry to check out the staff have all gone out of their way to give us a fabulous vacation. I made several phone calls to the concierge to coordinate activities while on the trip and they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. This continued during the stay. They helped with meal planning and day trips to Yellowstone and Targee. The hotel was extremely clean and the housekeeping staff professional and sensitive on each interaction. We ate several meals in the Cascade Restaurant during our stay and found the staff there attentive and the food delicious. I visited the spa twice during my stay and was very pleased with my experiences. I had a massage and manicure there. We were able to use the pool and hot tube and found both enjoyable and clean. The front desk staff was prompt with all requests and very accommodating.

In closing I wish I had the names of all we came in contact so they could receive the proper thanks, but I really think each person; including the wonderful servers, who made us yummy drinks in the lobby from 3-5 pm, deserve a pat on the back for a job well done.

We rented an alpine studio since we wanted to have a kitchen. The unit was very clean and very comfortable. Great customer service from check-in, housekeeping, room service, and the bar. The restaurant wasn't open during our stay but the same menu was offered in the bar. We would definately recommend Teton Mountain Lodge and stay there again.

We stayed 3 nights at the Teton Mountain Lodge and really enjoyed it. We were celebrating our 2nd Year Wedding Anniversary and found the lodge to be very accommodating. We reserved via Expedia for $129.00 per night. The room was one of their smaller suites with a kitchen. We specifically reserved this so that we could cut down on eating out. It came in very handy.

One thing to keep in mind is if you go in late September or Early October the weather is pretty unpredictable. As such a lot of what goes on in the Teton area is often closed or attractions are somewhat limited. Things like the tram to Rendezvous Mountain were closed during the off season.

The room we stayed in had the fold out Murphy bed which was furnished with plenty of blankets for the cooler nights. The bed itself was a little creaky, so every time my wife or I rolled over in the night it would be rather noisy. Overall it was pretty comfortable for being a fold out mattress.

The room was spotless. Great cleaning crew all around. The gas fireplace was a wonderful amenity, though it did leave the room rather warm so at times we had to open the balcony door and let some cooler air in.

The first night we were there we ate at the Cascades restaurant. We weren't overly impressed with the food and at the prices they charged we were more than happy to eat in our room for dinner the next too nights. We spent probably 1/4 of what we would have by eating most of our breakfasts and dinners in our room. I would recommend finding somewhere else to eat around there - of which there were still quite a few options even in the off season.

The hotel staff were very helpful. They provided a lot of good advice on places to hike in the Tetons and knew current weather conditions, roads closed, etc that proved helpful. We were very satisfied with their assistance throughout our stay.

The only downside that we experienced was the pool area. The indoor hot tub in the spa area was overly chlorinated and there was this gritty material floating around in it -- possibly chlorine? We were covered with the stuff after getting out and had to shower afterwards just to get it off. Additionally they indoor pool was closed for maintenance till our last day there which was a little disappointing the first few nights. Other than this, there was little to complain about. The room was great. The staff were great. The cleaning crew was top notch. If we went back and the price was right, we would have no hesitation in staying there.

We chose the Teton Mountain Lodge as home base for our 40th wedding anniversary. We had an end room on the 5th floor, and it was gorgeous. Kitchenette with frig and ample storage. Wonderful sitting area and desk with windows looking out to the mountains. Comfortable bed with TV and fireplace. And a little balcony which was a great way to start and end the day. But that wasn't all. Then there was a dressing room with two large closets and a chest of drawers. Beyond that area was a luxerious bath room: jetted tub and shower for two, dual lavatory vanity and all the amenities of a fine hotel. We hardly wanted to leave the room each morniing. Being just a couple miles sourth of the Teton Park entrance, less than 15 minutes from the Jackson Hole airport and 20 minutes from Jackson Hole itself made the location ideal for our site seeing and dining activities. And, the price was not much more than name brand chain hotels in the area.

All in all, it was a few days of heaven, and a long weekend that we won't soon forget.

We stayed the last week of September for our 35th anniversary. We had requested a mounain view suite and had a view of the mountains and the valley. Great room, great service, friendly personnel and impeccably clean throughout the hotel. If you visit the spa ask for Sherry she was by far the best massage therapist I have had.

Would stay again if we ever get back to the Tetons.
