“Great Off Season Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2009

We stayed 3 nights at the Teton Mountain Lodge and really enjoyed it. We were celebrating our 2nd Year Wedding Anniversary and found the lodge to be very accommodating. We reserved via Expedia for $129.00 per night. The room was one of their smaller suites with a kitchen. We specifically reserved this so that we could cut down on eating out. It came in very handy.

One thing to keep in mind is if you go in late September or Early October the weather is pretty unpredictable. As such a lot of what goes on in the Teton area is often closed or attractions are somewhat limited. Things like the tram to Rendezvous Mountain were closed during the off season.

The room we stayed in had the fold out Murphy bed which was furnished with plenty of blankets for the cooler nights. The bed itself was a little creaky, so every time my wife or I rolled over in the night it would be rather noisy. Overall it was pretty comfortable for being a fold out mattress.

The room was spotless. Great cleaning crew all around. The gas fireplace was a wonderful amenity, though it did leave the room rather warm so at times we had to open the balcony door and let some cooler air in.

The first night we were there we ate at the Cascades restaurant. We weren't overly impressed with the food and at the prices they charged we were more than happy to eat in our room for dinner the next too nights. We spent probably 1/4 of what we would have by eating most of our breakfasts and dinners in our room. I would recommend finding somewhere else to eat around there - of which there were still quite a few options even in the off season.

The hotel staff were very helpful. They provided a lot of good advice on places to hike in the Tetons and knew current weather conditions, roads closed, etc that proved helpful. We were very satisfied with their assistance throughout our stay.

The only downside that we experienced was the pool area. The indoor hot tub in the spa area was overly chlorinated and there was this gritty material floating around in it -- possibly chlorine? We were covered with the stuff after getting out and had to shower afterwards just to get it off. Additionally they indoor pool was closed for maintenance till our last day there which was a little disappointing the first few nights. Other than this, there was little to complain about. The room was great. The staff were great. The cleaning crew was top notch. If we went back and the price was right, we would have no hesitation in staying there.

We chose the Teton Mountain Lodge as home base for our 40th wedding anniversary. We had an end room on the 5th floor, and it was gorgeous. Kitchenette with frig and ample storage. Wonderful sitting area and desk with windows looking out to the mountains. Comfortable bed with TV and fireplace. And a little balcony which was a great way to start and end the day. But that wasn't all. Then there was a dressing room with two large closets and a chest of drawers. Beyond that area was a luxerious bath room: jetted tub and shower for two, dual lavatory vanity and all the amenities of a fine hotel. We hardly wanted to leave the room each morniing. Being just a couple miles sourth of the Teton Park entrance, less than 15 minutes from the Jackson Hole airport and 20 minutes from Jackson Hole itself made the location ideal for our site seeing and dining activities. And, the price was not much more than name brand chain hotels in the area.

All in all, it was a few days of heaven, and a long weekend that we won't soon forget.

We stayed the last week of September for our 35th anniversary. We had requested a mounain view suite and had a view of the mountains and the valley. Great room, great service, friendly personnel and impeccably clean throughout the hotel. If you visit the spa ask for Sherry she was by far the best massage therapist I have had.

Would stay again if we ever get back to the Tetons.

What a Wonderful Lodge and incredible location. We stayed here one night and will return for longer next time. Our reservation package included an automatic room upgrade and when our upgraded room wasn't quite ready we were upgraded again. What an incredible surprise. We had dinner at their restaurant and it was very good also. This is definitely a place to check out.

My husband and I had a wonderful 25th anniversary trip to the Teton Mountain Lodge. It is a beautiful place, we stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with an awesome balcony that had views of the mountains and valley. Our suite was impeccably clean, had everything we needed, with a beautifully equipped kitchen. A cracked coffee pot was replaced quickly when we called. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially when I fractured my foot on the first day there! (They even had crutches I borrowed.) Cascade Restaurant was wonderful every time we ate there. I tried foods I had never had before and was never disappointed. They also make a great dirty martini! Our room service breakfast that we splurged on once was sooo good, made better by dining on the balcony with it's great views. If there is one thing I wasn't crazy about it was the presence of a crying baby next door to us for a few nights. Hey, I love kids, have 4 myself, but this was my vacation! Anyway, you won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here. Don't forget to check out the roof top hot tub too!

I thoroughly check out places that we stay at and I use trip advisor most of the time. Due to the excellent reviews of this hotel, we stayed here for 4 nights... I wasn't disappointed in any aspect..Our 1 bedroom suite was beautiful, clean and very spacious...It was absolutely beautiful and decorated so tastefully. We had a view of the valley from some windows and a view of the mountain from others.. We had a huge balcony... we could walk to many restaurants and shops... Very convenient. Close to the Grand Tetons and Jackson. Everyone that works here is very nice and helpful. Also it is very quiet... Our corner suite was on the second floor and we didn't hear anything..

We stayed in both the Junior Sundance Suite and One Bedroom Suite during July. Both provided two bathrooms and a kitchen which were beautifully decorated. There was always at least one conceriege (usually 2) available to answer any questions knowledgably. The rooms opened to the view of the mountains. The spa / massage experience was like one I've never experienced. It provided a huge lounge room prior to and after the massage (try the mango chips in your water!). Teton Village is a great place to stay with activities, food and relaxing spots to find away from the people.
