“Perfect Ski Resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

We stayed at the Snake River Lodge and Spa for a week in mid-March and totally enjoyed our stay. After reading so many mixed reviews, we were somewhat apprehensive about staying there - we are very satisfied with our experience and did not find any of the negatives we had read about. The lodge was clean and inviting, our rooms nicely furnished with super comfortable beds. All of the staff were very attentive, friendly, and helpful and all seemed very happy to be there. We had six people in a 3BR condo for a week which was very comfortable and suited us well. My only complaints are that the internet was unstable and I had difficulty connecting at times and we couldn't get the thermostat to keep the rooms cool enough, we were very warm so we opened windows to regulate the heat. We had a car and were able to get to the Albertson's in Jackson for groceries so we cooked breakfast every day, came in for lunch and had a couple of dinners in. We used the pool and hot tub every day (hot tub is adequate, not the best and could have more jets) and had our fair share of the afternoon appetizers every day. The ski valet was the best amenity and the guys there worked hard all day and always had a smile. It was great to drop skis and boots off with them for overnight storage and boot drying and then return in the morning to grab our gear and go right to the slopes. I would definitely return to Snake River Lodge and hope to get back soon!

Room Tip: We were in rooms 239 and 240 which combine to make a 3BR condo. Nice accommodations, no complaints.

This was a disappointing stay at SRL, there were a few good things but the whole resort was on the whole badly run. The staff was very friendly, but very un-knowledgable like they had never been trained, but the food was disappointing and little things like the Spa elevator (on the 4th floor) was out of service the entire time. We had quite a hike to our room which was in a wing obviously attached to the main one at a later date. The whole flow of the hotel was weird! When I finally hiked up the steps to the Spa and asked about a couple of services, they answered "We don't do that but the Four Seasons does", simple services, like a manicure! We did make it over to the 4 Seasons a couple of time once for lunch (fabulous) and then for dinner (even better, don't miss their West Bank Grill!), I would rate this place a 4 on a scale of 10!

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the lobby w/ a mountain view.

A bit worn out, needs to be upgraded/renovated. you get the feeling you are in and old hotel that hasn't kept up with competitors around. Service is really good, lobby and gathering/bar areas are ok..

As luxury travelers, this was a new adventure for us. We booked the 4 bedroom penthouse with another family. Having stayed at the Four Seasons Jackson Hole before, we were very curious. And honestly? We were incredibly pleased. The 4 bedroom was even nicer than the 5 bed pent at the FS and about 60% less. The hotel itself is nice - 3.5 to 4 star. The staff?? Fab. 5 star efforts and attitudes, although in some areas it is 3-4 star in execution. We had to stay in 3 rooms for the first night as the big room was not ready. No room was kept until late for all of our things (they were not fully booked) and so everything was moved, locked up, and inaccessible without much finagling. The pent was late in being made available which was a pain. Housekeeping just does the basic, and forgot things like the trash and fresh towels on several occasions, but again, the attitudes and approach was top notch. The ski valet team were wonderful - fun, friendly, helpful, accessible, great with info and great with the kiddos....It is ski in but walk out, in the center of the village in Teton and within walking distance to everything...I would return in a heartbeat. And the basic rooms are decent...nothing fantastic but for the price point at high season ON the slopes? 250 a night is a bargain for the location!! Food was always fresh and tasty, drinks were creative, and the ski gear was up to date. Well done.

Room Tip: When checking in, ask about availability of upgrades.

- The Photo of "Deluxe King with Shared Balcony" on their website is misleading, our room 204 has a view of a building, the photo has a view of the mountain.
- Our ski boots were cold when we picked them up at ski check in the morning, better keep your ski boots at room.

We have spent the week after Christmas at Snake River Lodge for the past three years and it just keeps getting better. Our room was comfortable, with a king bed for parents and foldout sofa for our son. Fireplace was a nice touch. Food was great. Ski valet area was recently upgraded and service there is great. Can't beat the location with proximity to the base, kids ranch etc. kids love the pool area and the spa is just right. Loved having early morning coffee and tea in the lobby for the east coast early birds. Service could not have been nicer. Really enjoyed our stay!

This is my 3rd stay here - usually it's in the summer, first time trying the ski season. SRL is a great 4-star hotel with the prices and value that come along with it. The location is just fantastic - the lift is right outside, there are several great restaurants (Osteria and Handle Bar were my go-to's), the view is outstanding of course. The staff was friendly and accommodating - for example, I was craving nachos which weren't on the room service menu, but the staff was able to make it for me anyway and bring it up in record time.

SRL may not have the 5th star that the Four Seasons next door has, but if you want a more casual ski in/ski out hotel with friendly staff at a great price - SRL is a good choice.

Room Tip: Some rooms have balconies - nice especially in the summer.
