We paid about $280 for a room a tad smaller than expected but beautifully furnished ( no view tho, just the back of the pool grotto rocks!). Loved the upscale décor, nice linens, granite surfaces, etc. Service excellent ) valet $18 a day was worth it...most of the village hotels surround & share one large parking lot. The lobby is a little crowded, people eating in the bar area when restaurant wasn't functioning had people practically bumping into them. LOVED the indoor/outdoor pool ( swim between them) - lots of nice towels, the indoor hot tub had a waterfall function you could use or not; the freeform outdoor hot tub was delightful, partly hidden under the grotto rocks. Both hot tubs had lift-chairs alongside for those who might need it , just like a physical therapy pool would have. The freeform outdoor pool looks like a grotto, and is lit at night with changing-color lights, very attractive, as is the large firepit by the pool. Nice in the evening! The exercise room was top notch- big, clean, windows looking over the mountain, all the good machines. We did not eat at the hotel, I understand the breakfast buffet was $20. We tried to have dinner in the Gamefish restaurant on site however there "was a long wait" the evening we went in, despite only about 4 tables being filled. Turns out they only had one server scheduled, so were not seating people. They seem to be quite understaffed for September, which is a very busy month in JH..odd. The doorman/bellman/valet was working 14 hour days as the only other one was ill. We were told that other guests had been told they could be served meals in the lobby bar, when there wasn't enough staff to open the restaurant. This seemed to be a big issue that needs to be addressed, as staffing was the only complaint I heard from customers during our stay. This hotel is a few hundred yards from the JH tram and several restaurants. I mentioned $280 ( total) per night, because when we checked out and drove to West Yellowstone to use as a base for Y. Park, we paid ( with an 8-week reservation) $280 for a very generic Holiday Inn room with plastic furniture., making the price at Snake River Lodge seem like a major bargain ! We drove into Jackson a couple times a day, its only about 12 minutes so no big deal to avoid the crowds and even pricier rooms.
