This was the 4th accommodation on our recent US vacation. If you want to follow the route, the 3rd one was Hampton Inn Montrose, Montrose, Colorado. The 5th one was the Grand Victorian Lodge, Jackson, Wyoming.
From a tourist’s point of view, Rock Springs doesn’t offer that much and we were a bit skeptical about our accommodation as we drove towards it through more or less non attractive areas. Our mood got better and better when we entered a nice residential area and finally spotted the nice and cozy Miners Repose Bed & Breakfast. There are different types of bed & breakfasts from small and exclusive boutique hotels to more intimate places where you get the impression to belong to the family. This b&b was such a family place. We really felt like family that came back for a visit and got to stay in the room upstairs as always. It was like coming home and being welcome and we liked everything immediately including the general introduction, the afternoon cookies, the restaurant hints etc. The innkeeper Julie is the nicest person you could ever meet and serves you a good homemade breakfast in the morning including a nice chat at the breakfast table. Can definitely recommend this place.
