My husband is a self-proclaimed coffee snob. Yep, one of those who torments the house with the grinding of beans every morning. Traveling is a challenge because he really NEEDS that coffee, and if it's not good, then "grumpy" comes out to spend some quality time with us. And he's ecologically and economically minded, so Fair Trade coffee tops his list
It was amazing to find a ROASTERY in Riverton, Wyoming. This isn't just a pleasant coffee shop with friendly people who own and run it, but a very sophisticated roastery. A Fair Trade roastery! They have coffee beans from all over the place, and they roast in small batches so it's always fresh.
Let's just say that finding the Brown Sugar Coffee Roastery in our new home area has made a world of difference in the quality of our lives. The old saying might be that "if Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy," but living with "grumpy" isn't a piece of cake, either!
Seriously, visit their shop or their website. They are expanding the areas into which you can buy locally, or you can order online and roasted to your preference.
Their current location is cozy, but there is plenty of room for friends and family. They have free WiFi, and they don't mind if you bring in a sandwich to have with your drinks. (I prefer their hot chocolate made with Ghirardelli chocolate. My daughter likes their iced mocha with an extra shot of chocolate.)
Visit their shop or website. They are good people producing a quality product with ethical trade. What more could you want?
