“Another good Hampton”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Night 16 of our 2012 road trip.
Another excellent choice. Hampton's certainly moving to the top of the pile amongst the 'chain' hotel/motels in their price range as far as we are concerned.
We had two rooms on the third floor, which we have come to expect were very comfortable ( I am trying to source the mattresses used as they were so comfortable), spotlessly clean and well fitted and stocked.
Breakfast was good and staff more than accommodating.
Hotel towards the edge of town.but there are plenty of restaurants around - we drove intro town to Lovejoys Bar and Grill which was really good, vibrant with good service and food.
We thought the price was good too - all in all a stay i would recommend to anyone.

We traveled to Wyoming for my grandfather's funeral. As is often the case, the death was unexpected and by the time we arrived we were exhausted. Traveling home, we were looking forward to a quiet night in a comfortable motel. Myself, my husband, and our three children crashed at 10:30 in a double room with a cot. At 11:30, a group of people loudly went running past our door. This was just the start--they were laughing loudly, girls were shrieking, doors were slamming every 5 minutes, elevator was in constant use ("ding".) At 12:00, I called the front desk. Completely unhelpful; "I can call the room, but I can't guarantee that they will be quiet. It's a newly wed couple." Actually, it was a party; at 12:30 I banged on our neighbor's door. They couldn't hear me for some time due to the din; when they finally opened the door marijuana smoke poured into the hall and every one of the group (at least 10 in that room) held a can of beer. I requested peace; the girl who opened the door rolled her eyes at me. After multiple calls to the front desk, we were told the best they could do was offer us a different room. Someone showed up at 1:a.m. with new room keys; we dressed, re-packed (even had dress clothes hanging in the closet) moved 3 sleeping children, two adults, a cot, and personal belongings to another floor. At this point I was so on edge that I didn't fall asleep until after 2:a.m. Next morning discovered that in the melee we had lost a contact case with contacts and a several hundred dollar tube of a prescription topical cream. Found the contacts in the old room, found the cream smashed in the hallway. At breakfast, one party goer proudly displayed his half-empty whiskey bottle on his table, another shared the name of the pizza place that would deliver at 2:a.m. with the girl at the front desk. We missed our Sunday morning plans, limped home trading drivers every hour in order to keep from falling asleep at the wheel. The fact that our money was refunded did not compensate for the experience.

Thank you for your review of your stay at our hotel. We always appreciate hearing from our guests. I understand that the noise was an issue during your time with us. We strive to have additional overnight managers available during high traffic periods to assure the comfort and safety of our guests, but I’m sorry that your sleep was interrupted. We sincerely apologize for the lack of customer service you received and invite you to contact me directly at Chris.Klemt@hilton.com.

We stayed on the top floor (3rd ) which was accessible by elevator and very quiet. Free wifi in room, good hot breakfast, including waffles and eggs included with price. Good parking. No onsite restaurant, but very near Applebees restaurant. Rooms with two beds are "standard". If traveling on I 70, we would definitely choose to stay here again.

Room Tip: We chose the top floor so that no one would be walking above us.

Pillow top beds! Large rooms! Helpful staff! Clean. Nice complimentary breakfast in comfortable lobby room with fireplace. Plenty of parking.Good wifi. I was there 4 nights. Small, but nice pool. The only negative I experienced was I was on the top floor, and I could hear the sound of some children running around in a room 2-3 doors.

This hotel deserves its 5*s. Rooms are large, beds comfortable, linen crisp and fresh, bathroom elegant, b/fast at the highest end of the motel range with 3 hot choices and porridge + fresh fruit and reception staff very helpful. There is a luggage trolly, lift/elevator, and business room. Smokers occupy three rooms at the far end of the 3rd floor. All you need for a good overnight stay.

We stayed in Laramie for 2 nights to attend the football game. Booked this Hampton because the hotels closer to the University were booked - found it to be a nice hotel and nice staff. The rooms were comfortable and clean, plenty of parking, breakfast was good - plenty of food (even with the high volume of people eating at the same time). The staff was very friendly - made sure to acknowledge customers when walking thru the lobby - genuine friendly. It would be nice to have a mini fridge in the room - it is 2012 - a lot of us who travel have some expectations of basic requests.

Great room for a couple of nights for business. My King had no sofa, fridge or microwave, so if these are important, be sure to arrange them in advance.

The room was very clean, with a post-it note on the bed telling me that the "duvet covers and sheets are clean for your arrival." Is that not expected? Hmmmm.

Breakfast is as standard as possible for these hotels: yogurt, fruit, cereal, eggs, meat, biscuits & gravy and a waffle machine. Coffee is meh. (There's a Starbucks in the Albertsons 2 blocks away.)

Location was convenient for me, and Laramie isn't huge, so you're close to almost everything. Overall a fine choice!
