“Good Service and Good Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2014

Stopped in for dinner during recent visit to Laramie. We arrived without a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes. All of our meals were good (meat was prepared well). Beer and wine selection were also good. The service was great. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to our needs.

“Great Beer Selection - Knowledgable Staff - Good Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2014

We selected this restaurant because of Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. I had their pizza special (Pepperoni, Sausage, mushrooms & olives) - Loved the flavors & thin crust. Also had a Caesar salad - well done. My husband had the salad and Steak & Shrimp. He thought the steak was medallions so the large pieces (8 oz) was too much - the 5 large shrimp were well prepared. An enjoyable dinner - a very short wait at the bar on a Saturday evening was totally acceptable.

“Great experience, would definitely go back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2014

Great bartender, food, service, atmosphere. Really enjoyed our experience here. It was recommended by the front desk clerk at the Quality Inn, and we're glad we listened. Located in historic downtown with a terrific mural on the back of the building. Really liked Laramie and would definitely visit the town and the restaurant again.

“Good clean fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2014

We went there and had the prime rib. It was outstanding even that it was late in the evening. It was cooked to a great temperature. Our waiter Pat made of night very enjoyable . He was always conscious about our meal . His attention to detail was awesome . This was our first time here and it was very enjoyable and glad that we chose this establishment . We are not easy to please but we went out with smiles on our face. I guarantee you we will be back.

“Great steak but only average microbrew”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2014

Altitude is a brewpub which is located in historic downtown Laramie close to the U Wyoming campus. The atmosphere is typical of a renovated downtown building. There is a pool table in the side room but I didn't see anyone playing it.

First of all, the beer is just average for a microbrewery. We tried four different brews, each with cute names such as Beyonce, but none compared to the quality that you will find on the West Coast.

But the food is outstanding for a brewpub. We shared a delicious crab and artichoke dip appetizer that really tasted like crab and had chunks of articoke hearts. My ribeye steak rubbed with smoked spanish paprika and finely ground coffee was simply outstanding. It was like an umami bomb of smoky, salty, fatty and meaty flavors on single plate. My son's bacon wrapped beef tenderloin was also delicious.

Keep low expectations for vegetables here: we had to ask for extra celery and carrot sticks with our crab dip in order to get enough.
