“A BBQ stop when you simply must have ribs!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

Very friendly family run place.Homemade sauces are the highlight on the ribs, brisket, pulled pork.Desserts are homemade and very good if you have room. They have beer now and take out if you cant finish your ribs and you need a piece of of the cobbler of the day(and who doesn't need cobbler to go?)

“Decent BBQ”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2012

This actually is decent barbecue - a first for Laramie. We've had a series of hopeless, hapless, and tasteless barbecue joints come and go, and I hope this one sticks around. The actual meat itself is good - well cooked, tender, and tasty. They bring you a caddy of sauces and I've tried them all - most are quite good. Fun to mix. I wish the sandwich portions were just a wee bit bigger. The sides are great - they make some sort of hash that is fantastic. The desserts are simple, honest, tasty, and HUGE (like pig trough huge). Good place for lunch and the owner is very friendly. Service is quick and efficient. It is a bit pricy - lunch with dessert can set you back $20. They DO NEED BEER!

“Great original sauces, big rib platters and home made sides. An undiscovered gem in the Gem City.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2012

Best coleslaw I have had in 45 years of searching. All the sides are based on family recipes and made from scratch--and it shows. The secret to BBQ is tender meat and complex sauces.Boomer's does a good job in both depts. I would like a little more mesquite smoke flavor.I hope they get a bottled beer license soon. Having ribs w/o beer is a cryin" shame.
P.S. Please ramp up your marketing and advertising campaign. Newspaper, radio, take out flyers,coupons,etc.-People don't think to go down 2nd St much past Altitudes-and they definitely have a reason to now with Boomers.

“Yummy!Great homemade sauces!Run dont walk to Boomers!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

Homemade sauces and generous rib portions were great.Coleslaw best I've had in 40 years. The owner said it was a family recipe-like all the other side dish recipes. This place needs a liquor license.BBQ w/o beer is a cryin' shame.Prices a bit high but all restaurants have gone up recently.
