“WOW, what a nice remodel!!! Gorgeous! Highly Recommended!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

We are very familiar with the Best Western Lodge at Jackson Hole. This is the only place we stay when we come to Jackson. The last time was two years ago, in 2010. My husband and I had commented at the time that the place was showing some wear, but still enjoyed it. This year, boy, what a CHANGE!

The hotel has gone through a complete remodel!!! WOW

The rooms were just beautiful! New furniture, tv, sofa bed (leather), carpet, marble, you name it. The bed was super comfortable. My kids said the sofa bed was ok as well. The fridge is an oversized small fridge, plenty of room for what you bring. They even have the Keurig coffee machine, yum!

Bathroom: the updated marble bathroom was just awesome! So pretty and open. Kids liked all the shower heads. I only have ONE complaint. There are no outlets by the mirror. This is really awkward when you are trying to curl your hair or shave. Maybe it was an oversight in this one room, but it really was awkward.

Swimming pool: The pool is very nice, 2/3 inside 1/3 out. You can swim under the door enclosure. Outside hot tub was very nice. Indoor hot tub has no way of turning on the jets/bubbles... no idea why, but couldn't find a switch... maybe they tiled over them? The interior of the swimming pool is beautiful... pretty curtains hanging help dampen the noise. My boy loved the sauna!

Breakfast: The breakfast was really nice. Nice selection of items. It was a REALLY busy weekend and it was a little chaotic, but the employees handled the crowd and were able to keep things stocked (I don't know how they did it, frankly - it was a zoo).

I just love this place, thank you for the renovation... man, whoever you had do it did an EXCELLENT job! We will always be back... we are loyal!

Thank you for choosing to stay with us over the years. This recent remodel has been very successful and we are looking to add ever more services this winter. We are so happy that you enjoyed your recent stay and took the time to tell others what we have done.

“This is the BEST”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

We arrived in Jackson Hole with out prior reservations and spotted the Best Western - The Lodge. Got the room and proceeded to our room - by far the best room I have ever stayed in. I've stayed in a 5 star hotel before and seriously this was by far MUCH better than the 5 star hotel we stayed in. The room was awesome. Very beautiful room. The desk had a media port so cameras, cell phones, etc could be plugged in. There was a huge TV in the room. The bed was so very comfortable. The decor fit the area we were visiting. The price for the room was just under $100. We ended up staying 2 nights. The breakfast was also great. They had many items to choose from. It was a nice, large dining room so you weren't right on top of the people around you. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. If I ended up in Jackson Hole, I would stay at this Best Western again. I would highly recommend it.

“Nice room breakfast repetitive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

We had a room with two queen beds and a sofa, fireplace, refridge. etc. Very nice but quite expensive. Not sure it was worth quite as much as they charged. Beds were comfortable and room was decorated nicely. Breakfast was good but after staying a few days the scrambled eggs and tough potatoes became old. The fresh fruit was very good. Would have been nice to have had bacon or sausage on one of the days.

Room Tip: choose top floor better views.

“Best Best Western! Don't bother with any other hotel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

New remodel done in Spring of 2012 did not skimp on expenses. They have a great multi media hub on the desk that let me charge three devises and stream my computer onto the huge monitor from my HDMI cord. The bathroom is spacious with lots of room for your toiletries and anything else you could possibly need. The sofa bed and two queen beds was nice change. The couch was perfect to just relax on with out having to lay in bed. The Keurig coffee maker gave me the same cup of coffee I enjoy at home. I was nervous about the pool being 75% inside and 25% outside, but they keep in nice and warm. The inside hot tub and outside hot tub gave a good choice. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast is nicely spread out so you are not on top of everyone as you make a selection. The fruit is fresh (not frozen or canned). We had fresh melon and pineapple during our stay. Yes, the eggs are really good and the yoghurt with berries was a nice departure from yoplait. The grocery stores, restaurants and a nice community park with playground are in easy walking distance. We even tried out the public library on a rainy day and it was perfect to just sit and read with the kids. Did I mention great rates?

“Really nice rooms, but breakfast lets them down”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

We were surprised and impressed by our room, which wouldn't have been out of place in a luxury hotel, with a great bathroom and huge shower. Far better than anything else we've seen from a Best Western. Notably better than the Wyoming round the corner.

The public areas of the hotel are more typical and so, sadly was the "free" breakfast. Aside from being a bit of a zoo with the hotel being full, it was a restricted buffet and quite what logic drives a hotel to offer a hot full breakfast and choose not to make bacon available quite defeats me. I mean do they want their clients to enjoy the food? To get food that is on a par with the rooms they've just tumbled out of? Or do they just want to say "free hot breakfast" in the belief that rubbery eggs are just fine so long as its free. I'd rather pay for a freshly cooked-to-order breakfast of my choice that eat this stuff, and if I stayed here again I'd ignore the "free" breakfast ( actually of course it isn't free at all- simply included in your rate) and go out to get food of an appropriate quality and choice.

Of course the reality is that maybe they deal with so many tour groups that all want feeding at once so that a buffet is the only practical way. But then they need to understand that there are people who actively avoid buffets in favour of better quality food and a different sort of experience. The rooms here are able to satisfy both groups I guess, but to us there's a disconnect between those rooms and the rest of the hotel's offer.

Thank you for the positive feedback on our remodeled rooms. They are definitely luxurious! We understand your thoughts on our complimentary breakfast. Offering a breakfast that fits the needs of everybody is certainly challenging and we appreciate when guests take the time to let us know what they like and what they disliked. Our complimentary breakfast is buffet style and not made to order. For guests that prefer sit down service we usually suggest Bubba’s BBQ or The Bunnery – both favorites of the locals! Several guests have suggested that we offer bacon and we hope to add that to the menu sometime in the near future. Currently we do have a wide selection of both hot and cold items – including eggs (with and without meat), potatoes, oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, muffins, bagels, and toast. Our drink selections include coffee, tea, hot chocolate, hot cider, and three types of juices. We have a great breakfast staff that prepares and serves this daily. We strive to offer freshly prepared food that is both healthy and enjoyable for our guests.
