Description: Rich in history, Jackson Hole’s first chuck wagon adventure, the Bar T-5 began in 1974 by giving people a chance to step back and experience a time gone by, a time when they traveled by horse drawn covered wagons. Now you can join us at the Bar T-5 and make your own Western History. Climb aboard a horse drawn covered wagon just as they did in the early days of Jackson Hole for an adventure unlike any other. You’ll experience an evening filled with great Western Hospitality.Traveling along a clear mountain stream, you’ll follow a winding trail into the tall timber of the Bridger-Teton National Forest to a camp in the heart of the canyon. Watch out there may be surprises along the way, after all this is the West! Arriving at camp the wagons are circled and the aroma of a Cowboy style Dutch oven dinner greets you. Enjoy our home cooked BBQ Chicken, Roast Beef in Gravy, our famous Bar T 5 Beans and more. After dinner you can sit back and relax to the sounds of music and laughter as our cowboys take the stage. Enjoy the harmony of The Bar T 5 Band bringing your favorite cowboy songs to life! With Guitars, Fiddles and Fun for all, you’ll find yourself joining in throughout the night. The evening ends as the wagons head home from a place and time you’ll never forget.....The Bar T-5 Covered Wagon Cookout & Show. We are close by, located just 1 ½ miles SE of downtown Jackson. The wagons are ready to roll evenings, Monday through Saturday, mid-May through the end of September. The evening lasts about 3 hours. At camp you are under a covered pavilion that is heated if necessary. Reservations are requested. To find out more about how to join us and make your own Western History please give us a call.

“Must do family fun in Jackson”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2012

The people of the Bar T 5 cookout are what make this a fun family outing. We went with our two daughters (8 and 12) our driver Cheris (hope I spelled that right) was great. We sat up front and she was friendly and answered all of my daughter’s questions about everything from the horsed to the surroundings. We had a great meal when we arrived and were greeted by a horde of friendly people at the camp.. The entertainment was perfect, good music, comedy and crowd interaction. The ride back at sunset was amazing. I can't say enough about the people here even the owner came around and introduced himself and chatting with everyone during the meal.. Thanks everyone at the Bar T 5 for making this part of our vacations great... Keep doing what you are doing..

“A must do for a family with children”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2011

We highly recommend this event. We are a family of 8 with children ages newborn-12. The people are wonderful, food was good, and the show was entertaining for all ages. We spent two weeks in the Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks and when others ask our children what their favorite thing was, this was at the top of their list.

“Great place for the Family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2011

If you are looking for the all inclusive package, then this is probably going to be a good one for you to consider. It is family oriented, fun and has excellent food that is dutch oven cooked. You will want to plan an evening for this experience, because you will arrive, load the wagons, ride the wagons which are pulled by a team of draft horses, and have music and a show up the cache creek canyon about two miles up the canyon from downtown Jackson. The workers are all really fun and try very hard to make it an enjoyable experience for you and your children. The music is very entertaining and the food is very good. I highly recommend this as a must for your visit to Jackson Hole.

“Great for kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2011 via mobile

The trip up the canyon was fun. If you got kids this trip is a most. Try to go to the last trip6:30. After dinner and the show you'll have a chance to to mingle with people in the show, and take pictures with the horses.
