Maybe if you've never been to any mountains or ridden any trams this might be a must. However, I thought the price was way too high. Cost $76 for the four of us. Yes the views were nice, but I hiked to some in Yellowstone that were just as gorgeous for free. I've ridden several trams Gatlinburg, Stone Mountain, etc and never paid nearly this much.
If you are going and its June or earlier Be sure and bring your jackets--dress warm. We saw people with little children in tanks and flimsy dresses freezing to death once we got up top. Neither myself or anyone in family was that impressed.
The little coffee/waffle shop is small but has some great blueberry vodka coca(that was the highlight of my tram ride.
